i was hanging out with two of my bestfriends, celebrating one of their birthdays. i'm not all too sure on how we got to this topic, but it was hilarious nonetheless.

"it's my birthday week, you already know me and tae have been getting downnn!" kadejah, the eldest out of the trio, stuck her tongue out at dani and i .

she was extra, so of course she was the type that celebrated a whole birthday week, gotta love her though. she had always been very eccentric, which was great. she helped dani and i come out of our shells and we mellowed her out when need be.

right now, we were having a sleepover like we used to do back in high school . we met in our freshmen year and been ride or dies since then.

it was the last day of her birthday week, and we had been celebrating together this whole time. tae, her long time boyfriend, was out, letting us have the whole house to ourselves.

"too much information! we do not care." i playfully rolled my eyes at her and turned my lips up, although tmi did not exist in our friendship.

"right , you need to take a pregnancy test." dani scrunched her lips together, copying me.

she stood up and wore a straight expression on her face. "don't wish that on me! don't be acting like yall don't be getting down and dirty too." she waved us off, "i actually got some hold on." she got up and left to her bathroom, coming back with a cvs bag full of tests.

"you stay stacked,huh?" i laughed at her foolishness. i was the type to run to the store in a panic during a pregnancy scare. albeit, those rarely happened to me but it looks like the same isn't true for kay.

"stay ready ain't gotta get ready." she smiled, sticking her tongue out again. "here!" she threw one to both of us , taking one for herself.

"what i need this for?" i raised my brow in confusion. i know i'm not pregnant.

"i wasn't playing, y'all taking one with me. come on." she playfully mushed me , and afterwards dani reached over to smooth my hair back over.

kay grabbed her purse, getting a marker out of it. "except we making it fun." she added with a smirk.

"and how is that?" dani questioned in a skeptical voice. kay had some insane ideas sometimes, you honestly never know with her.

"draw something on the back of your test then we're gonna mix them up and look at them." she explained, grabbing an empty red solo cup.

"ahhh, okayyy!" i nodded, this seems fun i won't even lie.

"i'm scared and i don't even be fucking like that." dani looked distressed. we laughed , knowing it wasn't gonna be her, if anyone.

i drew a heart on mine, dani opted for a normal star, and kay drew a crescent moon .

"i want to take them at the same time so they're ready at the same time. i got 3 bathrooms, gone head." kay pushed us in different directions as we stood up.

we each came out one by one, closely following behind the last. we set a timer and placed the tests in the cup. now , we wait.

when the timer went off dani laid them side by side, not looking at the results. it was the good ones that said words instead of faint lines that always have you stressed out.
