"nay, did you see that stuff with killian?" my best friend, sophie, asked me over ft while i was doing my makeup. 

"no, and i haven't. and i don't care, to be honest. enjoy my makeup tutorial, little girl." i mugged her through the screen.

"uhm, excuse you, little girl!" she copied me, "you know you care, plus yall didn't even end on bad terms or anything."

killian and i had dated in highschool wayyy back in 2018 and 19. he's old news. he was too popular and wanted for me. i can't date pretty boys, it's not for the weak. take it from me.

sophie was right tho, we didn't end on bad terms , but at the same time, that didn't mean i had to follow his every move.

"so, he got a new girlfriend right after me and i've moved on long ago." and that was true. i had truly moved on, i didn't have feelings for him. and he also did get a new girlfriend soon after our break up. and due to sophie's constant checking in, they've been together for 2 years.

"exactly butttt," she dragged her word out, "they just broke up, just confirmed."

"coooooollll." i just shook my head, not really caring much.

"i honestly don't want to be here." i was sitting at her little brothers basketball game. since sophie and i had been friends for so long, i naturally became friends with her brother. although, he's way too young for my liking, his little crush on me was cute.

"why? cause you know my brother is going to be flirting?" she asked, thinking she cracked it.

"no, because this gym is dirty as hell." i pointed around to food wrappers scattered everywhere.

"LANIIIII!" i heard her brother, sean, calling my name from behind me.

"seannnnn!" i gave him a hug and wished him good luck on his game.

"if i win, you have to go on a date with me." he reasoned. terrible idea.

i smacked my teeth and looked at him, "you're too young!"

"i'm legal though , and you're only 20!" he looked at me as if i grew 2 heads.

"almost 21 too, and you're freshly legal. plus, you've been asking me on dates for years and that would be weird to go on a date after you've been courting me as a minor for yearssss." i mentioned, and he knew i was right.

"you're gonna come around one day, it's okay." he shrugged and i laughed. i knew he wasn't going to give up.

the game started shortly after , and it was a good game so far. sean's team was winning but just a bit, not too much but a comfortable enough lead.

"hmph!" sophie made a noise to get my attention, through the snacks in her mouth. "look." she said and slyly pointed to the door.
