Eliza was leaning against the kitchen counter. Sipping on her second can of beer as she watched her cousin make himself caffeine.
He was annoyed, she knew this, irritated maybe even slightly pouty.
She turned and glanced at the bed, only half of it looked slept on. The right half.
"Did he come home last night?" She asked, already knowing the answer. She hardly ever asked questions to which she knew not the response. Her spies and informants are many. But she didn't need them to know that the little De La Sanguis had spent the majority of nights with his toys.
It was all over the pack. Wolves were social creatures after all. And what was more social than gossip?
The general knowledge that he spent at least 5 nights in the tombs, as they called it. What he did in there however, was anyone's guess. And there were guesses. From an affair and plotting against the pack to failure and self destruction. The stories were all over the place.
Eliza, didn't care for he said she said nonsense. Information was only powerful when it was truthful.
So she had no interest in hearing her cousin confirm or deny Aaron's absence.
She simply asked the question and turned to watch his reaction. Roy was hard to read. He had always been. But she understood him better than anyone did. The slight stiffening of his shoulder and the nano second pause in his actions. She might as well be reading his memoir. Filled with information, though the ink was somewhat smudged.
"You're worried" She commented, placing down her can and knitting her fingers. He turned around, caffeine in hand and approached the island wordlessly.
"I'm not" He responded calmly "Not for the reason your thinking anyways" He spoke in that tone that she hated.
Eliza said nothing but beckoned him to continue with her eyes.
"I can still hide secrets from you older cousin" Roy teased, knowing that she went to great effort to uncover every secret. Be it in the pack, around it but most importantly with him.
"Obviously" She reached over to grab his cup .He let her have it and turned to prepared another cup.
"Have you slept with him yet?" She spoke to his back. Again knowing the answer to her question. She took a sip of the cafe.
"Moving a little slow aren't you? You and Adrian were practically rodents. I was sure he was trying to conceive you children" She commented, pleased with the reaction she'd received. Eliza took a large sip from the mug and placed it down on the counter. Between the empty and half empty canes and began circling the rhyme with the index of her right hand, while the other propped up her chin.
"I heard he's awake by the way." She continued, "Adrian i mean. But i suppose you knew this" She paused, and he turned around, regaining his earlier position, caffeine in hand as he stood less than a meter away from his cousin, with only the island between them.
"Yet you haven't went to see him." She stopped her game of chasse around the mug mouth and drum her fingers on the island. Roy looked down at them then back up at his cousin. Raising a brow.
"But Aaron has," Eliza smirked, "Four times. It's peculiar isn't it? He hasn't time to shared your bed at night but he visits your ex somewhat weekly."
"Do you have a question to ask me or are you just rambling?" He challenged her. Eliza placed both her hands on the island and leaned forward.
"I do and here it is?" She grinned, misshift glitering in her eyes "How does that make you feel?"
