"You look terrible" Aaron commented as he meet with his aunt the following day. His words where an understatement. In just a few hours the result of her child's feeding had left her exhausted. Her eyes were rounded with big black bags despite her constant resting and her face seemed to sag. However, the smile she wore upon his entry was ever so radiant. Her hazel eyes shined when she met his, her joy presisting even after his comment.

Sitting at his aunt's side, Aaron scratched at the plaster on his neck. He too had bags under his eyes from lack of sleep.

"We were talking about your cowardice." Sylvianna dove straight into the suspended topic. To which Aaron gave a smile.

"I'll going back" He told her. Because it was true, he would go back. Even before his uncle told him of the consequences, despite the itch on his neck, he knew he couldn't stay away. He longed to see Roy strength, to smell his scent, to watch him rule. That desire was too great. Some might even call it a need. But not Aaron, Aaron knew better.

"When?" Sylviana pushed.

"When i'm sure i'll get what i want" Aaron selfishly declared. Sylviana nod approvingly, she encourage selfish desires as long as he was willinging to do what was needed to achieve it.

"Respect and thrust" She voiced, remembering her demon's words. "How do you get someone to give you one or the other?" She then asked.

Aaron bite his lip. This was the question that fueled his insomnia. It, paried with the insuferable itch left him ended all thought of sleep and even after hours of suffering he could find no annwser nor relief.

"How would you do it?" He asked his aunt. Sylvianna snorted and rolled her tired sunkened eyes.

"I have no use for such things darling" She says, waving him off. Her tone completely dismissive. She could barely move, hardly talk, needing to stop between words to catch her fleeing breath and yet she still managed to maintain her arrogance as she completely belittle Aaron's worries.  Aaron nearly smiled at that.

"Not even mine?" He asked. Sylvianna looked at him as if he was speaking in tongues.

"What use would that be?" She questioned, honestly confused. "I have you!" She told him, Reaching out a hand towards him. Aaron travelled most of the distance to offer his cheek. Her boney fingers carressed his face. A gentle pulled at her lips.

Aaron continued to smile at her, placing a hand over hers he spoke.  "I have Roy" He told her.

"Then what's the matter?" She asked when he failled to say anything else.

"I had you" He says, taking her hands away from his face and placing it on her lap.  "But you still caged me." He finished, his eyes lingered on her hand. She was pale, so thin she looked so weak. Raising his eyes, he met her eyes. They, on her thin face appeared big, whide, the hazel of her eyes were bright and her gaze, though tired and restless was strong.

She stared deep into Aaron's eyes and knew that despite the bluntless of his words, he did not blame her. He was simply stating the facts.

"Trust and respect" She repeated after tearing her gaze away from him. "I Suppose that's all it comes down to isn't it?"

Before Aaron could say anything in response, the door opened and in came the same helpers but they carried different woman, this expecting mother also stumbled on her feet, drugged was was more or less conscious as she was lead to her demise.

....

David sighed as his gaze passed over the various members of the council that lithered his office. Even the happily retire Matthew, the former alpha was here, looking every bit as anxious as the lot of them.
