I let go of Rodrick's hand to grab our empty bags of popcorn and throw them out.
"Ready to go back?" He asks me with a tired smile.
"Ya." I grab his face and kiss his lips before going back to the front of the van. As he drives me home, I replayed all my favourite moments of our date in my head.
The way he kissed me. The way he grabbed me. The way he cuddled with me. The way he held my hand throughout the entire movie. The way his thumb rubbed my hand while he held it. Oh and he smelt so good. I wish tonight never came to an end.
"Y/n." Rodrick calls my name and I snap out of my daydream. I realized that I was already home and it was time to leave. I smiled at him.
"Thank you for tonight, Rodrick. I had a lot of fun."
"Ya, so did I." He smiles back. I turn towards the door and grab the handle. Rodrick grabs my other hand.
"Wait, y/n." I turn around to face him again.
"Yes?" Our eyes lock.
"Will you be my girlfriend, officially?" *internally screams*
"Of course I will." We smiled at each other. I've never felt so happy.
He slowly caresses my left cheek downward and places a finger beneath my chin. He lifts it up slightly and leans in to kiss my lips gently.
"Goodnight, y/n."
"Goodnight, Rodrick."
And with that, our night ended.
