Rani headed back to the main theater, deep in thought.
Who is that person?
I'm gonna find out, eventually. She thought, finding her seat next to Frey again and watched the last thirty minutes of the movie, the thoughts of the mysterious person pushed to the back of her mind. Finally the credits rolled, and Rani glanced over at Frey, seeing when he would get up. When he finally did, she got up with him and they headed out of the theater.
"Well that was a good movie." Frey stated as the cool night wind ruffled his combed blonde hair.
"Yeah." Rani said, halfheartedly, stopping suddenly to think about the mysterious person.
He stopped walking, just as she stopped and gave her a glance. "You okay?" She didn't respond, oblivious to his question. "What happened in there?" He asked again. He was met with no response, for the second time. Frey sighed and snapped his fingers in front of Rani's face.
"Hm?" She said, looking up at those gorgeous purple eyes.
"I said, what happened in there?"
"Oh, nothing."
His brow furrowed, "Don't say 'nothing' when something is obviously bothering you."
"Am I that obvious?" Rani asked him.
"Well, duh, you ignored my questions twice, plus you seemed distracted during the movie."
"How could I argue with that logic." Rani said, a small smile suddenly playing at the corners of her mouth."
"So, what is it?" He paused. "I would like to know what's bothering my girlfriend." He said, bumping her shoulder with his."
She glanced down, somewhat embarrassed since she was the only one who's been seeing things. "Well, I've been seeing this cloaked figure lately, twice already. I get the feeling he or she keeps stalking me for some reason, but I don't know what for though."
"Can't you just use your magic?" He asked.
She flushed. "I feel like it would be better confronting them in person, instead of finding everything out through magical means."
Frey nodded thoughtfully. "I see what you mean, and I agree, but how do you even know that you'll see them again?"
"Lets just hope fate brings us to cross paths again." Rani said, relieved of the burden she was carrying. She gave him a small smile. "Thank you for understanding."
"Anytime." He said back, resting an arm on her shoulder. She placed an arm on his back and started walking to her car in silence. Outside her car she opened the door a bit, and held it open.
"See ya later then?""Well yeah, of course."
"Alright then." She slid into the driver's seat and started the engine, pulling out of the parking lot and heading to her house.
"Im home!" Rani called as she entered the castle, the Tesla parked safely in the garage, and without a response from her father, headed up to her room. She opened the door and glanced around, locating her blue phoenix, Asche, he squawked and took off from his perch gliding around the room, eventually landing on Rani's shoulder.
"I know boy, you missed me." She said, reaching a hand up to scratch him under the beak.
He squawked contentedly and flapped his wings, sending a gust of warm air, and downy feathers through the room. Rani smiled, recalling the date, then yawned as it was getting quite late for her. She got ready for bed, and a couple text messages later, she was fast asleep.
