Rani's phone buzzed, making her blink and look over at her dresser where it was located. She groggily groped for her phone, before finally getting hold of it. After she responded to Myla, her sister, she got ready for the day, brushing her messy blonde hair and letting it fall over her shoulders. She put on a lavender colored t-shirt, with a picture of a white wolf on it. For pants she decided to switch it up from her usual jeans, and put on black leggings instead. Her piercing blue eyes caught the light from the bathroom, making them seem brighter than usual. Rani blinked then headed down for breakfast with her dad.

"Good morning!" She called, halfway down the stairs.

A gruff voice responded. "Good morning, honey. How'd you sleep?"

She covered a yawn and responded, "Pretty good, I think."

"That's good." Her dad responded. Rani headed into the kitchen and started preparing herself an omelet, and when it was done, she grabbed a plate, flipped the omelet onto it, and brought it to the table. When she finally was able to get a good look at her dad, she realized that he had dark circles under his eyes, as if he hadn't been sleeping well, and by the looks of it, this had been going on for about a week. Her suspicions rose, but she didn't say anything. King Silverwind had gotten the chefs to make him a royal breakfast which consisted of sunny side up eggs, hash browns, a couple pancakes, and some sausages. Rani dug in, but her dad just sat there picking at his food.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine, just a bit tired."

"I can tell. Maybe you should take a vacation soon."

"A vacation? But then who will run the kingdom?"

Rani sighed and rested her hand on her dad's arm reassuringly. "You don't have a daughter and nobles for nothing."

"I suppose I could, for a couple days."

"Alright then."

She finished her breakfast, then started packing her books and paperwork together for the school day ahead. She got her backpack packed, and set it by the front door to the castle, ready to grab when she left. Rani was about to head out the door when her dad called from the dining room.

"When do you think I should leave?" She slung her backpack over one shoulder and headed back into the dining room.

"Hmmm. Whenever you feel like it? But the kingdom's quiet right now, so it would be a good time to take one." Rani offered.

"Your right." The king said, scratching his beard. "I'd have to think about it, where I would go and that kind of stuff."

"Okay. I'm going to head off to school now." Rani said, then headed to the front door, opened it, and closed it gently.

That was me last Wednesday.

Anywho, i'm thinking about writing a background story for my WOF oc, the one featured in my banner
