"I survived because the fire inside me burned wilder than the fire around me,"
The next two days were spent either getting to know Ginny or spending time with Harry, Ron, and the twins. Ginny and I got on well and I answered any questions she had about Hogwarts, she said that she was worried about her sorting but I told her that we would still be friends no matter what house she was in.
I told her that I and Hermione would gladly be friends with her and spend time with her at school which made her relax a bit.
On my third day at the Burrow, I had pulled Harry and Ron aside and shown them my prophecy. At first, they were shocked but then it seemed to all make sense.
"No wonder you're so bloody good at magic! You're basically a superwitch!" Ron had said laughing.
"A super witch?" I said raising an eyebrow but I was smiling. "Well, I guess I am rather good at magic. But that's beside the point at least I know now, there was no way dumbles would have told me," I said spitting the last part angrily.
"Rather good? Honestly," Ron said sarcastically before scoffing and glacinging at Harry in disbelief. I rolled my eyes at his dramatics. I looked at Harry to see he had a thoughtful look on his face.
"I don't get it," Harry finally said. "I mean the Prophecy clearly states that basically whatever side you're on will win. So why on earth would Dumbledore not tell you? Surely he would want you two to be as friendly with each other as possible, right?"
"Harry Albus Dumbledore is a man with many secrets it will do us no good trying to understand how his brain works. But I do agree, surely he would want me under his control which he probably has planned for both me and you Harry. But at least we now know his game, I mean he clearly wants to keep us in the dark, doesn't he? Which leads me to believe that he's not telling you the whole truth either," I said looking at Harry. I decided I would tell Hermione about it on the train.
Ohh, I also need to have a look at that list of Vaults and Properties on the train as well.
On the third day, I also asked Mr Weasley if he could connect my house to the Floo network which he agreed to do happily and he told me that he made it so people could only get into the house if they had a member of the Jenkins family permission. It was good enough until I could get my wards up. I was determined to make my house a fortress strong enough to keep anyone at bay.
I guess it was paranoia coming in clutch.
It was now the day before we were meant to be going back to school and I was going back to Diagon Alley because I had completely forgotten to get Hermione's and Blaise's Birthday presents. Which meant I had some last-minute shopping to do. I got dressed and ready and looked at myself in the bathroom mirror.
