"Most people aren't my real friends, they're just too afraid to be my enemy,"
I woke up to the feeling of someone shaking me awake.
"What?" I said groggily before stretching obnoxiously.
"We're here," Hermione said with an amused look on her face. I sat there for a bit, as Hermione collected her books and pieces of Parchment and put them in her bag.
I breathed in and then I slapped my hands on my knees before standing up. I looked to the seat next to mine and saw that Ares was curled up and sleeping.
"Ares, wake up," I hissed poking him slightly in the side. His eyes slowly peeled open before he lifted his head.
"What?" Ares asked sleepily.
"We're here, I don't think they'll want a snake in the great hall so you'll have to be quiet okay?" I said before picking him up and putting him in the inside pocket of my robes. I had added the inside pocket knowing that Ares would have to be hidden to avoid scaring people. But luckily for him, I had done a charm to make it bigger and comfier on the inside.
I made sure I had everything before leaving the compartment and following after Hermione.
Once we got off the train I saw a bunch of first-years walking over to Hagrid, among which I saw Ginny with a blonde girl. I called her name and waved to her. She sent me a smile and a wave in return.
"Good luck Gin!" I yelled before Hermione and I made our way to the carriages.
"I have no clue where Harry and Ron are," Hermione said huffing. I looked around and saw that Harry and Ron were indeed nowhere to be found.
"Dunno, maybe they're already in another carriage," I said whilst shrugging. She nodded and we both go into a carriage.
The ride was short and soon enough we were at the front entrance.
Hermione and I got out of the carriage and made our way into the great hall. Heading to the Gryffindor table, we sat down next to the twins and Lee.
"You three seen Harry and Ron? We haven't seen them at all on the train, were they with you?" I asked whilst sitting in between the twins, Hermione sitting opposite next to Lee.
"No, sorry haven't seen them, sure they're fine though," Fred said shrugging.
Soon enough everyone had migrated into the great hall and were now waiting for the sorting to begin. Yet there was still no sign of Harry and Ron. Hermione was starting to get worried and I tried to reassure her that they were probably fine even though I was beginning to worry myself.
