Attack on Haikyuu

XXXVIII

It was peaceful the next morning. The people inside the walls are doing their daily tasks, children playing outside, vendors selling their harvests, and the survey corps guarding and ensuring everyone's safety.

Karasuno, Seijoh, Shiratorizawa, Nekoma and Fukurodani are all sent to their outpost on the walls of Trost. It's a normal day for them since there's no titan activities reported outside Trost.

Yamaguchi is busy reading the book Tsukishima bought him. Did you know? Tsukishima already asked and confessed to the freckled boy?

Flashback

"Hinata, Kageyama.. will you two stop fighting?!" Sugawara angrily shouted as soon as Daichi went upstairs.

Yamaguchi sighed while watching his friend go the the other side of their barracks.

'He's in time off.' He thought to himself as he shrugs and chuckles it afterwards.

"Yamaguchi, can I have a moment with you?" Tsukishima said with his hand on his nape.

Yamaguchi looks at him, confused to why he needs him. He then nods afterwards and went outside with him.

The two of them went to the fields, admiring the dazzling stars from above. Yamaguchi smiles as the stars represents the specks he got on his face.

"Why did you suddenly need me?" He asked the blonde boy.

Tsukishima cleared his throat before taking out a book from his coat. He then hands it to him while looking away.

Yamaguchi took a moment to realize that he is handing him a book. He took the book from his hand and open it. There was a note attached to the first page.

He raised an eyebrow, confused to what is the note all about. He then flips it open;

'Go to page 101, you'll find the answer....'

And so he did. He flips the pages until he was on the 101st chapter. The title of the chapter was what he is not expecting.

My one and only...

Yamaguchi then turns his head towards the other guy, now in shock as he saw him smiling.

"Yamaguchi Tadashi, I've been waiting for this. Will you be mine?" Tsukishima asked. He looks around to see if it's another prank, but this time it is not.

He nods and threw himself over Tsukishima, pressing their lips together with a smile.

"Yes.."

Yamaguchi smiles upon remembering what happened last night. He was only broken in trance when Tanaka waved his hand infront of his face.

"Tadashi, you're smiling to yourself again." The older guy said. Yamaguchi chuckles before closing the book, apologising.

Tsukishima keeps a close eye on his now other half, smiling as he saw how cute he run towards the canon.

"Well, it's a wrapped. We've successfully stuffed all the canon balls inside. Time for lunch." Daichi said while dusting off his hands.

The other scouts cheered as the presence of food was mentioned. They all clean their place and preparing to go down the walls.

Well, not until a huge shadow blocks the sunlight above them. They all turned their heads upwards along with the other forces.

An airship, or should I say, airships. Dozens of airships hovering the district of Trost. People from the district looks on to the airships above them.

"Uhm, what is that?" Yahaba asked as he looks at his captain, who is now clenching his jaw.

Bokuto on the other hand, already knows what it is. He then ordered everyone on his side to report it to the central district quickly.

The owls turns on the alarm, causing everyone to panic. The crows, cats, and the eagles all went to their positions.

One airship suddenly opens up its door, releasing what is somewhat people all tied up on a parachute.

The people slowly made their way down to the district, well, not until everyone was blinded by a mix of steam and lightning.

Kageyama kept his eyes open, seeing the terror that is happening infront of him.

When the steam cleared up, countless mindless titans came crushing down the district, destroying every houses upon impact.

Those who survived, went in for the kill. Capturing all unfortunate individuals.

"Shit! Marley is here!" Kageyama shouted to his force. The crows starts to rush over to their ODM gears as they try to eliminate the titans.

"Hinata, you know the plan." Kageyama said before jumping down the wall, transforming and beginning his aid.

Hinata took a deep breath before jumping off as well, transforming and letting out a roar that the mindless titans heard.

He is now used as the bait and decoy to lure the mindless titans towards the survey corps.

While everyone is busy fending off the titans, Shiratorizawa and Seijoh were assisting the civilians towards the gates.

"Everyone, move faster!" Iwaizumi instructed as he guides an elderly woman towards the gates.

The mindless titans were making their way closer to the gates, causing everyone to panic once again.

"Ushijima! Tell everyone to flee!" Oikawa said while fixing his ODM gear.

The other captain tightens his grip around his blades, looking at the titans with an angry expression.

"Captain, come with us!" Shirabu said while waiting for his captain. But Ushijima is not budging a bit.

He then drops his blades and gear on the ground, making Oikawa more confused.

"What is he doing—"

"We've been here long enough. I am done pretending to be someone I am not." Ushijima said while looking at the titan approaching him.

"Captain?"

"Shirabu! Goshiki! We've been trap in here for so long. Let's end this." He said before approaching Oikawa who is freeze in his place.

"We're here to take back what's ours. The founding titan." Ushijima was about to bite his hand but quickly stopped when Bokuto threw his blade towards him.

He blocks it using his hand, cutting it off on the process. Shirabu wa shocked and quickly made his way towards him along with Goshiki.

Oikawa finally realised what is happening and charges towards the two, wounding them both on their throats.

"You traitor!" Oikawa screamed as he attempts to stab Shirabu. But Ushijima was quick to save him, pushing Oikawa aside.

Oikawa stares at the three of them before lightning strikes down. Iwaizumi quickly reacted and told everyone to move away as Shirabu was preparing for a massive transformation.

Iwaizumi picks Oikawa up and flee away from them as fast as he can. Soon, a huge explosion of energy was produced, killing everyone who is near and on sight, including the civilians.

The others escaped just in time before it exploded and formed a huge mushroom cloud.

Kageyama looks over at the explosion, shocked to see three titans he knew. The colossal titan, the armored titan, and the cart titan.

Oikawa was laying down on the floor with the half of his face burned. Iwaizumi quickly went over him and pulls him to a safe place.

The others who died includes both Daishou and Terushima. They died due to the close proximity from Shirabu.

Hinata looks at the titans they are about to fight, getting nervous upon seeing the colossal titan.

"I'll get you back. We will not fail this time. Not anymore." Ushijima said as he comes face to face with both the attack titan, Kageyama. And the founding titan, Hinata.
