I didn't get what I was supposed to be laughing at but it didn't matter since all of us were now heading towards a local cafe. We are now at a table and order our drinks.
"Man this sure is nice."
Looks like we are not the only one hanging out. A group of girls with Satou, Shinohara and Karuizawa in the middle are heading towards the same cafe as us. It looks like there is something in Satou hand, a necklace, suddenly a cat jump and snatch it.
"Hey, stop!" The girls shrieked loudly.
It quickly gets around a corner and we lost track.
"I am sorry Karuizawa."
"It's fine. But still, I need to get the necklace back!"
Yukimura stands up with Miyake, quickly search around to find trace of the cat.
"You're not with them?"
Well...
"I may not be much of help."
It seems like someone else got it, presumably the owner of the cat.
"Did you take something again?"
"Meow~~"
"Bad kitty." She patted the cat slowly.

"Let's go, Mako." A woman steps out from the door.
"Oh, what is this? She stops and looks at the group and the little girl, and then lets out a sigh.
"I see she did it again. Mako, you need to teach her to behave properly."
"I am sorry." the little girl spoke first-time.
"Don't worry, you're doing great so far. Now as for you little rascal, give it to me now and I'll let it slide."
The cat gives it back grudgingly.
"Good kitty, well here you go." She returns the necklace to Karuizawa. "Sorry for the trouble, Mako hasn't trained her completely yet."
"Your name is Mako?" She sits beside the small girl and smiles but she only hides behind the women more.
"Well, you see, she is shy around strangers."
"I see. Thank you for your help. I'm Karuizawa, here are my classmates. We are assigned here for a quest."
"My name is Hiyori Shiina. Nice to meet you."
The girls start to talk to Hiyori but the topics are none of my interest. What interests me more is the fact that Hiyori Shiina is an elf, and despite her young appearance, she could be a couple of hundred years old. One of the races that are believed to be extinct is still present here in front of my eyes. Then, she must have her reason for not revealing her real identity.
"Well kids, it's time to meet the caster. Call your friends!"
"Peura-san."
"Oh, Hiyori. It's always a pleasure to meet you; I can see Mako and that little thief behind you."
"You have sharp eyes as always, Elder."
"Do you want to join me for a cup of tea while these kids will be briefed right now?"
"Oh, no-no. Thank you for the offer but I have other business to take care of. I just came here to collect some books."
"I see. Okay kids, follow this old woman."
Hiyori Shiina..., I'm curious about what happened with her in the past. But, it seems like she doesn't want to have anything to do with world conflict, rather she yearns for a quiet life. Therefore, sticking my nose in now is not the best option.
