"That was a lie, wasn't it?"

Of course it was a lie. How else it could be? You can't reason with a beast in its anger state. From what I have gotten from Horikita Suzune, she is not the type to believe something like that. Despite that, I'm playing dumb, as I always do.

"Why though? That Sudou is a reasonable person."

"Cut it off, I know you did something, what did you do?"

"I didn't do anything. You observed me, right? How can I bypass your observant eyes that easily?"

My conversation with my neighbor, Horikita often goes along like this for a pass few couples of day. I don't know if I am having fun or not, but it feels comfortable talking with her, in a specific sense.

"If you don't say what you did, I'm just going to electrocute you right here and now. That blazer you're wearing isn't strong enough to take this spell."

Well, that's just a matter of fact. Horikita is just a little strong, just enough to break through the mana shield that student uniform provides. I should be alright though, as my natural magic resistance is high. That's just for the case if she is bold enough. She can't use spell openly; which the Institution forbids, and we're walking among dozens of people.

"Well, you won't do it. That's against the School rules."

"Fine. Let us go to somewhere where no one can see. Then I'll do it."

I'm getting so used to this kind of unreasonable statement. I'll go along with it.

"People will get the wrong idea."

"Who cares? So you are ready to be electrocuted?"

"Let's end it here. Yeah, I did some trick back there; for the sake of helping friends. These girls may get hurt otherwise. What are you going to do? Report me?"

"Maybe."

"Then whatever, just go ahead and do it."

"I can't. I don't have proof. So let's get back to the topic. Why do you believe Sudou is innocent? Did these class-A students hurt themselves just to create fake proof?"

We were on this topic when I saw Sudou and the girls.

"I didn't say he isn't responsible for the violence. I only said he did that for self-defense."

"So you base on Sudou's word this morning? That alone can't prove anything."

No way would one believe something like that. Furthermore, it was Sudou who inflicted actual body damage to the Class-A student, for self-defense or whatever reason, couldn't be proved.

"No I didn't."

"Then how?"

"You're getting too curious here. That is no good. Anyway, you can trust my word."

"Given that I trust you, what then?"

"You'll do something for him. Even if it's you, you can't just stand there leaving an innocent man be, can you?"

"Fine, I'll do it. You will be dragged along, too."

"Spice for my boring life, I'll take it."

"So how about that girl? She knows something, doesn't she?"

"Who?"

"The girl with glasses whom you just saved."

So she also noticed something from the girl named Sakura Airi. I don't know how much she has an idea of, but that's sharp, compare to a normal human.

"Well, she was in the special building when the incident occurs."

"Shouldn't we take her in to testify?"

"I would rather not, just one witness, especially from our class, is not enough. Also, she isn't good with people. Be a little more considerate."

"I don't see the logic."

"Just trust my word. Take this as to repay my favor."

"..."

As we talked while walking, we are almost at the student dorms. The sky emits a mixture color of amber and blue. It shouldn't change too much, throughout time and time. On the contrary, my life is gradually changing. I am not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing; but I can't complain, it was me who chose this.

Something has to give, whether I like it or not. So why shouldn't I exert myself a bit more?
