Chapter 4

4.1

"Okay everyone, please divide into group as instruction."

Ahhh, it's finished, at last. Do speeches normally take this long? Maybe it's just me who's uncomfortable with it.

"Can everyone please move to your assigned group!"

My thinking was suddenly interrupted by a loud voice. I instantly turned my head to the direction the sound came from, my gaze was met by a slender looking man perched on the balcony, it shouldn't be him, he looked too weak to produce such a powerful sound.

"Group A on the west entrance, follow Chabashira-sensei. Group B on the east entrance, follow Mashima-sensei".

I really am surprised by that man, it really is him filling the hall with his voice, oh well looks can be deceiving I suppose.

"Ok Group A follow me, I will guide you to the magic test rooms", the person who speaks this time, Chabashira-sensei, she has sharp features and punctuated voice.

We exit the auditorium and I am awestruck by the look of the academy. How didn't I feel like this before? The walls rise up five meters above our heads with exquisite designs on the pillars. The stone is pure white mixed with small streams of gold and cream which forms complex and unique designs. The grass outside has a vibrant shade of green and have been kept in perfect care... and wait what is that? If you concentrate, you can smell a faint sweet refreshing aroma in the air. I try to pinpoint the location of this nasal pleaser but could not quite put my finger on exactly where it was coming from. Ahh, then it hits me, the smell isn't coming out of one specific area it was coming from all around us, it seems there are many rose like bushes and regular interval to keep the fragrance consistent. It is truly magnificent.

I look up towards the sky and saw the beautiful stone towering before me, the instructor say that inside there are countless number of rooms for magical theory and magical practices as well as personal use for experiments. As well as the countless indoor facilities there were numerous grounds at which one could test their physical abilities or conduct practice duels on or just enjoy the warm summer weather with your peers. This Institution as a whole might be just as big as my hometown, no maybe even bigger, I never knew such large buildings complex existed.

My hometowns huh, it feels like it has been so long, even though it was just yesterday that I said farewell to my family. I hope Anko Obaa-chan as well as the two sisters and Rito-kun are all coping well without me. I let out a small sigh and felt a little disheartened, then I remember that I shouldn't feel sad right now, my family was rooting for me so I couldn't let them down. That thought ends my feeling of homesickness.

I decide to examine my group members, one girl stands out from the rest; she wears an angelic smile on her face and is effortlessly conversing with everyone else in the group. She has a short stature but is clearly well developed; hence all the boys are crowding around her. This girl might have already captured the hearts of all boys and girls alike, it would be safe to say she doesn't make antagonize anyone at this school. I walk over and she greets me.

"Ohh isn't it Karuizawa, you look rather lovely, how are you doing?"

"Thanks Kushida-san, you look just as lively as when we met. I'm doing well. It looks like you have made plenty of new friends!"

"Well that's because I'm going to be friends with everyone in this school!"

Another enthusiastic reply comes from Kushida, she really enjoy talking to everyone.

"Okay everyone we have arrived at the testing room, please form a line according to your assigned number", called out the instructor.
