He looked at me with a menacing glare in his eyes. I was so confused. Suddenly he picked me up over his shoulder and ran to another set of stairs.
"Hey where are we going?" I yelled.
"Shhhhh. Be quiet!" He said sternly.
"Ugh." I sighed.
He rolled his eyes. We got to the top of the stairs and I heard him open a door. I felt the cool air hit my face. He was running towards something. He set me down and I looked around and saw a helicopter on my right.
"What are we doing with this?" I asked.
He just looked at me. He walked to the other side of the Air Craft and opened the door for me. I was so confused as to why he wasn't violent with me. I climbed in and he slammed the door shut and ran to the other side and got in. He started the helicopter. We were about to take off when I felt the machine get pulled back. I turned to look. It was my dad. He was bringing the copter down. I looked at James. He looked furious. He punched his fist through the windshield and grabbed my father.
"James let go!" I shouted.
It was too late. The copter was falling into the river. James hit his head on the seat. I closed my eyes and braced for impact. Once we were in the water I kicked the windshield off and pulled James out. My dad was swimming towards us. I pointed at James and made a funny face. My dad tried not to laugh. I swam to the surface holding onto James. My dad broke the surface and I looked at him.
"Dad we have to take him somewhere." I explained. "He wont hurt me."
"I saw that, I don't know why you're immune to it." He muttered.
My dad helped me pull him to the shore. He picked James up and we went into a nearby where house.
"I'm calling Sam," My dad started to say. "We can trust him."
I nodded.
Sam arrived and we used a clamp to keep James' arm held. I was sitting in front of him cleaning up his wound on his head. I noticed his eyes fluttering.
"Dad he's waking up." I said.
James looked at me. He smiled.
"Hey doll" He said grinning.
Until he noticed his arm was clamped down. He looked back at me. A few scratches on my face from the glass.
"Oh no," He started tearing up. "What did I do"
"Enough" My dad responded.
"Is he Bucky?" Sam called out.
"Your mom's name was Sarah...." He told my dad. "You used to wear newspapers in your shoes."
James chuckled.
"Now that you can't read in a museum." My dad commented.
"Are you okay James?" I said worried.
He made eye contact with me.
"Yeah I'm okay" He replied softly.
He put his hand on my cheek. I leaned into it. He traced the bruises and scrapes with his fingertips.
"Did I do this?" He whispered.
"No," I answered. "Not exactly anyways."
I smiled.
"Why don't I effect you when you're like that?" I asked.
"What do you mean you don't effect me?" He replied.
"When he took over, The Winter Soldier I mean. He wouldn't hurt me." I explained.
"Really?" He said surprised.
"Yeah it was weird." I replied.
