He picked me up and walked out of there like I weighed nothing. I faught out of his arms once we left the house and he finally let go of me.
"Does he always do that to you?" He asked, his voice getting loud.
"What's it matter?"
"Look, I get your like 520 or something and you can hold your own, but if I hadn't stepped in when I did he wouldve hit you more!"
"And I wouldve recovered!"
He sighed over my stubbornness. "Has he hit you before."
"Only on rare occasions."
"And your still with him?"
"The Salvatores are practically family since your girlfriend left me." My responses were quick.
"Has anyone else every hit you?"
"Why."
"Because,"
"That's not a solid answer. Even if they did, you wouldnt be able to find them, I wouldnt want you to find them, and I dont want to see them. Theres a reason I'm not in touch with them right now so please respect that."
"I'm not really good at the whole respect thing."
"Too bad. I'm not telling you." Maybe if he actually had a brain he could figure it out himself.
He stood there staring at me as it started to pour. My hair was wet within seconds, as was his. He chuckled as he shook his head to shake off the rain water.
"Do you at least have a place to go?"
"No, but I'll just sneak in. He wont come after me again tonight, plus in the morning if he doesn't see me his guilt will devour him."
"So your coming over to where me and Katherine are crashing." He said grabbing me by the wrist and trying to drag me along.
"Kai no, that's not fair to Damon. Plus Katherine would kill me if her guy brought home her sister. It's not smart, that would only antagonize her more and that's the last thing everyone in this poor town needs." I said pulling my arm out of his hand.
"Then answer me this. What did Katherine mean earlier? By asking who Elena was descended from?"
"Well Katherine had a daughter before she turned and... when I was with some werewolf guy while I was a vampire, I made a bad decision and I ended up having a son because of a stupid loophole. I never watched him grow up, his... family took him away from me. Gave him to some women back in 1638 just a year after he was born."
"You... didnt have to share that."
"Yeah well, I know a lot about you that you haven't told me so I guess this just repays for that. I mean I cant imagine it's easy for you to explain what you did back in 1994, and I already know every gory detail so it's only fair."
"I mean if you must think of it that way, so be it." I nodded and turned from him to go back into the dry house. "Nerezza," He called back out for my attention. "If he lays a hand on you, don't be afraid to show him what you can do. I dont care if I've never seen it, I know you can be tough. Show him that." I nodded again then smiled and waved.
"Be safe Kai, with Katherine and all... I know you may not see it but, she can be dangerous."
"I think I can handle it." He smiled, then disappeared. I ran back into the house and I didnt see Damon sitting on the couch which worried me.
"Damon?" I called out, he was no where to be seen. I sighed and walked over to the couch, I started to feel tense and unsettled, ready to smash something.
