He set me down and I hit him, he winced and I scoffed.
"You had absolutely no right to take me like that! You... kidnapper!" I struggled to find the right words. "I could've handled that myself!" I yelled.
"As a human? You could barely handle it as a 500 year old vampire! I'm sure your 16 year old mentality could handle it." He said sarcastically.
"How do you know that? You dont know me!"
"Yes, I do Nerezza. And you know me! In fact you-" He cut himself off and I glared at him, crossing my arms in a sassy way.
"Nevermind." He said sternly grabbing my wrist.
"Where the hell are you taking me?"
"Your not going in there like last time, I dont care if he'll feel guilty in the morning or if he'll beat himself up over it. I couldn't care less. Right now, just like always, I care about you and your safety."
"What do you mean last time? Theres never been a last time!"
"Just be quiet." He demanded and I did. Not because he compelled me or because he forced me to, but because I trusted him to answer my question when I had them.
When we got to what seemed to be his house he walked me up the stairs and to his room.
"Where will you sleep?" I asked shyly.
"Probably on the couch downstairs." He answered firmly, I couldn't help but feel bad he was helping me.
"Hey I can sleep on the couch, you dont have to give up your bed." I said stopping him. He looked up at me with a smile.
"No, princess. You've slept in my bed ever since I've known you. That wont stop now even if I cant sleep with you."
"Weve slept together?" I asked harshly.
"Clearly not enough for you to remember." He sighed, I pitied him, it seemed like I had hurt him even though I dont remember him.
"Kai I-"
"I know you have questions. I know you want to know who I am, how I know you, what we were."
"We were something?" I asked dramatically.
"Sort of. Anyway- I know you have questions and I may or may not be able to answer those questions."
"Can I ask one now?"
"You just did love." He smirked and I rolled my eyes.
"I mean about what happened."
"Sure."
"Who did this?"
"Take a wild guess."
"Kol?" He nodded. "But... why?"
"Not sure."
"When?"
"Today. At the bar. After Caroline dropped you off at the Grill you must've ran into him, he somehow found out how you felt about me and about him, I'm guessing he got angry and punished me."
"But why would he do that?"
"Its a very long story."
"Well evidently I've got time. So start talking."
"You've asked more than one question now Nez. Time for bed." He said patting the mattress, I shook my head and he raised an eyebrow which made me smile. "God. Nothings changed." He mumbled to himself. I didn't ask what he meant, even though I wanted to. He looked at the bed again and I sighed then fell into the fluffy pillows. He flew the covers over me and stared at me for a moment before he left.
