"Thanks for driving me," Hannah said, leaning up against the cold house wall. She and Michael were saying goodbye at her house. He had driven her home since he insisted on it and Hannah didn't want to take the bus.

"No problem, babe," Michael said, a smirk crawling onto his face.

"You're calling me 'babe' now?" Hannah said, raising her eyebrows. She didn't feel like they were at the 'babe' state yet but she wasn't going to complain if the guy she liked wanted to call her babe.

"Problem with that?"

"Not at all." A smile crawled onto Hannah's face as Michael looked her into the eyes, his look flickering down to her lips.

"Okay then, babe, goodnight." Michael slowly backed away from Hannah, not letting his eyes leave hers.

"Goodnight, Michael." Hannah waved him off and started to look for her keys. She fumbled with them for a while before getting the right one into the lock of the door, only to find out it was already open.

"I'm home!"

Her mom came running out of the livingroom looking worried and confused.

"Where have you been, Hannah? I've been calling you all afternoon." Her mom crossed her arms over her chest, now seeming more angry.

"I was at Michael's house, mom. I sent you a text."

"A text is not enough for me to know where you are! Where does this Michael boy live? I don't know if I like you hanging out with him." Hannah's mom kept looking at Hannah like she was angry. Hannah didn't know what she had done to deserve this anger from her mom.

"What do you have against Michael now? What has he ever done to you?!"

"I'm worried about you, Hannah! I don't want that boy to hurt you," Linda said walking into the kitchen.

"Mom, I know what I'm doing. Michael is not going to hurt me. He's a great guy, you just need to get to know him!" Hannah followed her mother into the kitchen. Why was she telling Hannah who to see? Linda didn't even know Michael and she was already saying that she didn't like him.

"Well then, invite him over! If you want me to get to know him, I will. Invite him over for dinner tomorrow night."

"Okay, fine!" Hannah left the kitchen, heading straight to Ashton's room. It felt like they hadn't talked in forevet and Hannah missed her brother.

As she walked into Ashton's room she got welcomed by a girl's ass in the air.

"Oh, shit! I'm sorry!" Hannah yelled and she saw Kiki jumping off the bed.

"Han, have you ever heard of knocking?!" Ashton shouted, running his hands through his hair. He got up from the bed, walking over to Hannah.

"Well, I need my brother right now but it's cool. I'll let you finish and I'll talk to you later." Hannah left the room without another word. She felt bad for Kiki. Hannah could imagine her feeling so embarrassed and she just wished she hadn't messed up that bad.

She closed the door to her room and walked over to the bed, laying down and covering her face with her hands. Why did she had to be so stupid to just walk in to Ashton's room? Three minutes later she heard the front door slam shut and her own door being opened. Ashton closed the door after him and sat down next to Hannah at her bed.

"Hannah, what's up?"

"Mom doesn't want me hanging out with Michael!" she shouted without even thinking.

"Wait, what? Why? Tell me what happened."

"So, I was at Michael's house today and I texted mom saying I was there but apparently she didn't see it so she got mad at me for not saying where I was although she could have easily called or checked her phone but then when I got home she freaked and told me she didn't like Michael but she doesn't even know him!" Hannah realized she had rambled and talked extremely fast when she saw the puzzled look on Ashton's face. He looked confused and his eyebrows were furrowed.

"Wait, you were at Michael's house?"

"Yes! And first mom got mad about..,"

"Yeah, yeah I heard you," Ashton cut her off, rubbing his forehead. "Look, it's going to be okay, it's not like you're never going to see Michael again just because mom doesn't like him."

What Ashton was saying was true. Hannah wouldn't stop seeing Michael. She didn't care what her mom thought, Michael was important to Hannah. And she wasn't going to let her mom stop her from seeing someone she cared about.

"Yeah, yeah you're right. I care about him a lot and she won't make me stop seeing him." Hannah sighed and layed down on her bed.

"Exactly."

"Now, did you and Kiki have fun?" Hannah said, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Well, you kind of walked in when the fun was beginning," Ashton chuckled and layed down beside his sister.

"Have you told her how you feel?" Hannah asked calmly. She was a lot more calm now then she was two minutes ago.

"No, and I don't know if it's a good idea to do."

"Why wouldn't it be? You're in love with this girl and she might feel the same way about you. She deserves to know, Ash. And you deserve more than just being used." Hannah liked Kiki and wanted it to work out between her and Ashton. But not if Kiki was only using him for sex, although it didn't seem like she did.

"What if she's in love with someone else and I'm just a distraction?" A sudden look of sadness spread over Ashton's face.

"Is she using you as a distraction?" Hannah gasped. Kiki was so sweet, Hannah didn't think she was even capable of that.

"That's what she always says, that she needs a distraction. "
