The next day at school, Hannah looked around for the mystery guy, but she didn't see him anywhere. Hannah thought it was really odd, that she had never seen him before and now she couldn't find him. It's not like she looked for him with all of her soul, searching every little corner of the school, she just looked around all the rooms she walked into. But no luck.

Hannah, Kira and Asha walked into the math classroom for their last class of the day. Kira and Asha were talking about something but Hannah wasn't listening. She heared a few words here and there and it sounded like they talked about Calum again. He seemed to be the only topic they could come up with nowadays. Hannah guessed it was just "so important" as Kira and Asha described it.

But her mind was on the mystery guy just as it had been the last 24 hours. She just couldn't get him out of her head and she didn't know why, not that it usually was easy for Hannah to get things out of her head. She just wanted to know more about him. Right now, she didn't know a single thing about him except for how he looked and that simply wasn't enough.

A few minutes later, Mr. McClain was going through a math problem and Hannah had zoned out again. She never really paid attention to math because she didn't care about it that much. She thought it was unnecessary and stupid. She knew enough to pass and that's what mattered to her. Suddenly the door to the classroom pushed open and a guy with messy, red hair stumbled in. The mystery guy. Hannah stopped herself from dropping her jaw at how amazing he looked. He was wearing a black, long sleeved sweater and black skinny jeans. It suited him perfectly.

"Sorry I'm late," he apologized to Mr. McClain. "I couldn't find the right classroom." He looked around the room looking for an empty seat and spotted the one next to Hannah. He walked through the room like he had no concern in life. Hannah froze and snapped her head down at her book. Oh my god, what was happening?

As the boy Hannah still didn't know the name of sat down next to her, he looked her up and down quickly blurting out a small "hey", licking his lips. Hannah didn't know what to do so she just looked straight down at her book, nervously twirling her hair in her fingers.

"So, this seems to be our new student, Michael Clifford," Mr. McClain explained and pointed a hand towards Michael. Hannah loved that name on him. It suited him perfectly, frankly, everything about him seemed to suit him perfectly.

"Yeah, hi," Michael said and smiled around the room. "I'm Michael and I like to party." Everyone laughed but he just leaned back in his chair and smirked. Hannah didn't know what she had expected from him but she wasn't exactly surprised at how he was acting. He wasn't acting like he was afraid of making a fool out of himself. It didn't seem like he cared what anyone else thought about him either and Hannah liked that.

Mr. McClain went back to the equation on the board and the class went back to ignoring it. Well, everyone except for Michael. Instead he tried to find the page in the book, struggling to even find the right chapter. He fumbled with the pages until finding the algebra chapter. He took out his notebook and opened that up too, just to leave it like that and leaning back in his chair again, looking at the board. Hannah was tempted to ask why he had just done that but stopped herself. Again, she thought about it too much and had way too many bad scenarios in her head to have the guts to talk to him. This always happened when she met new people, she never had the guts to speak.

Before she could think even more about it, Michael spoke.

"Do you have any earphones I can borrow?" He whispered.

Hannah was frozen. He had asked her for earphones. She knew she had at least three in her bag but she wanted to take an opportunity and bond with him without having to talk, so she took it.
