Ajay woke up the next morning but she didn't feel very rested. Worry set into her sore body when she reached for Octavio and he wasn't there. She sat up and collected herself. She felt sick to her stomach again. She always feared that he would leave her again but she thought that worry had left her when he came back and joined Apex. She got up out of bed and got dressed. She wore the essentials, black skinny jeans, a black tank top, a black hoodie, and her favorite black boots. She searched the apartment for Octavio but he was nowhere to be found, in fact it didn't even look like he had been home.
She sighed as she picked up her backpack and got out her phone before throwing her backpack over her shoulder. She checked her phone for missed calls and text messages from him but she had nothing from him. She found his number in her phone and clicked on it to call him. It rang a few times before it click on. She waited a moment from him to answer but there was nothing. "Silva?" She was very hesitate as she said his name.
"Hey Ajay." The voice on the other end was not Octavio's it was Elliot's voice.
"Elliot?" Ajay was a little confused. She looked at her phone to make sure she had dialed the right number, which she had. She shook her head and placed the phone back against her ear.
"Hey." He laughed through her silence, "What's up?"
"Where is Silva?" Frustration, exhaustion, and fear flooded her voice.
"Well...." Elliot paused for a moment, "He's here at my place."
"I'm on my way." The conversation was short and almost one sided as she hung up the phone. She wondered why Octavio was at Elliot's place. She left the apartment in a hurry. When she got outside she pulled the hood of her hoodie over her head. The cold water hit her body and gave her chills. She didn't usually mind the rain but today it was just an annoyance. The city was pretty much climate controlled. It never saw snow or drastic temperature changes but it was cold once in a while and it did rain. The city was a nice place to live but Ajay preferred living in their new home where there was no climate control and everything was natural. She tried to keep herself occupied as she finally made it Elliot's apartment building.
She left a line of water dripping behind her as she entered the building. It felt like it took forever for the elevator to take her to the eleventh floor. She made it to apartment 1111 and knocked on the door. Elliot answered the door with a smile on his face, "I knew you'd be back for more." Ajay rolled her eyes, "Where's Silva?" He pouted a bit as she tried to get passed him. After a moment of not being able to get around Elliot, Ajay became frustrated with his games, "What da fuck Elliot?" Elliot sighed, "Listen, I don't know if now is a good time." Ajay looked a little sad, "What was he trying to hide?" She placed a hand on his chest to push him out of the way, "I don really care." Elliot stood his ground and didn't let Ajay around him, though he did like the feeling of her touching him even it was in a hostile manner.
"Please Elliot." She looked down at the ground as she dropped her hand from his chest. She was almost in tears. "Ajay..." He leaned over to try and get a better look at her face but before he knew it her hands were on him and he was on ass on the floor and Ajay was walking past him. She didn't even know where to begin to look for Octavio so she started in Elliot's room. She found Octavio laying in Elliot's bed as she entered. Elliot grabbed Ajay's arm and pulled her out of the room. "What da..." He placed his other hand over her mouth and pinned her against the wall as he whispered. "Just let him sleep."
Ajay's body was tense against Elliot's body that was pressed firmly against hers. She slowly nodded and he removed his hand from her mouth, placing it next to her head on the wall behind her. He smiled at her, "Isn't this the predicament we're in?" She wasn't very amused by his games as she pressed her back into the wall. "Why does he need ta sleep?" She said softly. Elliot pressed his other hand onto the wall next to her right side, moving his face just inches from hers, "Well, it's an interesting story." She waited for a moment as he continued to get closer. Elliot's lips were almost against hers as he spoke, "What's da story?" Elliot smiled and leaned into her, whispering in her ear, "He'll have to tell you." Elliot's voice was soft.
