Ajay woke to the light tapping of rain against her bedroom window. She opened her eyes to a dimly lit room that peeked in through the slanted blinds. Droplets of water fell against the window, merging until they became heavy enough to stream down the glass as one. She lifted her head just enough to look out the window. Her eyes fixated on the dark clouds between the slats of the blinds. The rain had always brought her a soothing yet numbing feeling that never got old.

Getting up was not as easy as she anticipated that it would be. She dropped her face back into her bed and held back a sigh as a tinge of pain wrenched at her body. It wasn't just the alcohol or pills that hit her hard; it wasn't a hangover. The arena left her shook up and sore. Even though the battles did not really kill any of the Legends, there was always a risk that the arena could leave them with damage infliction depending on how the system was functioning that day.

There was some clause in the contract about arena damage and how it could lead to real physical, mental, and/or emotional damage. There might have even been something about death, although she was sure that the death label was on everything now. She vaguely remembered reading about it and signing it. She wondered if that's why Blóðhundr didn't go out last night. "Were they nursin' battle wounds from the arena?" Had she hurt Bloodhound that bad? The thought brought feelings of guilt over her.

She pulled her face from the blankets and forced herself to sit up on the bed. Her nails pried plastered strands of hair from her face as she looked around. When she finally made it to her feet, she didn't feel so great and the world took a quick shift. Waves of dizziness sent her ass straight to the floor. She felt better once she was sitting again, this time closer to the ground. Luckily, her phone was on the floor next to her. It must have fallen out of her pocket sometime during the night.

Despite how she felt, it was nice to get away from extensive training and go out for drinks. She hadn't gotten that wasted in a very long time. In fact, the last time she got that wasted was when she was with Silva. She sighed and tried not to think about Silva; it just put a sour taste in her mouth. The longer she sat on the floor, the more the dizziness began to subside. At least today was an off day for the Legends; Sundays usually were off days. There was an unspoken no battles Sundays rule. There wasn't even training on Sundays.

The screen of her phone lit up as she turned it on. It was only 9am. She sighed at the time. She clicked over to an ongoing group chat with all the other Legends. They all checked in last night. Everyone checked in except for her. She was already screwing up as a Legend on her first night out. She noticed a few missed phone calls from Anita. "I'm never goin' to hear the end of this." She sent out a text message apologizing for not checking in. She also mentioned that she got home and went right to sleep. The last part was to cover her ass.

All of the memories from the previous night came flooding back to her brain in an instant. She pressed her back against her bed as desire and lust overtook her body. Her face felt warm at the thought of that handsome stranger grabbing her ass. She was getting all worked up just thinking about everything they did in that dark alley. The sexual tension grew even thicker when she realized that they had been in public. They could have been seen. That could be a career ender for her. It was so naughty.

She quickly shimmied out of her shorts and tossed them next to her shoes. She wasn't getting up any time soon so she would make the best of her morning. She set her phone down beside her and moved her hand down along her stomach. As her hand reached for the hem of her panties, she realized that she wasn't wearing them. "What the fuck..." She trailed off as she looked at herself in floor-length mirror standing in the corner of the room. She looked like a complete mess, but she couldn't look away. She stared at her hand, still on her stomach just above her mound. Her leg blocked the rest of the view, so she dropped it and slid her hand downward, still watching herself in the mirror.
