Hey Lovelies! Before I start this whole fanfiction, I just wanted to leave a quick note and some insight into my writing style. But before you move on, please be warned that this a (very) mature story, which means there will be heavy language, alcohol, sex, drugs, abuse, and violence.

If you see anything italicized in or out of quotations, then it usually means that the character is thinking to or talking to themselves.

Anything in bold usually refers to Apex Announcers or messages being sent to the Legends or just something from the Apex side of things.

Bloodhound will be referred to as Bloodhound They/Them.

Legends are referred to by their real names outside of the arena matches (Ajay) and their Legend names during arena matches (Lifeline) unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Also, the cover page artwork is mine (it was commissioned for me by my #1 fan).

Sorry if anything seems confusing. If you have questions just let me know. Enjoy :)

**Additional note to my fantastic readers. I release new chapters when I can (based in the United States). I also might go back and revise chapters so you might see some shifting of chapters and some new ones. I am not changing the story line, I am simply going back and fixing errors as well as adding some much-needed details. Thank you so much for your patience.**

BOOM! Lifeline had narrowly escaped a shot from a Kraber. In fact, it was the last shot from the deadliest sniper in the arena. The only way that she managed to evade the shot was dumb luck. She tripped over a small ditch in the ground and fell around the corner of the hill that led to an area that they referred to as Three Way. She wasn't one to be clumsy but today she would make an exception because it saved her life and possibly the match.

Her ears burned from the noise of the sniper rifle shot as she sat with her back against the side of a small cliff. She was still very new to the Apex battle royale games. She could barely think as the gun shot still echoed through her ears. Her heart was pounding so hard that she could feel it against her chest and head. It felt like she was beating her head against a wall over and over.

She tilted her head back and closed her eyes in an attempt to calm herself down so that she could think of what her next move was going to be. The air was so warm and thick that it stifled her, almost choking her. Sweat dripped down the side of her left temple as she took a long, calculated sigh, trying to listen for any footsteps. Loose strands of her reddish-brown hair stuck to her cheeks and the back of her neck; the rest held up into two separate buns atop her head.

The gunshot came from 400 meters away, so she knew that she didn't have much time to sit around and think, she needed to get her shit together, "Come on, we've got a job to do." She gave DOC a pat as she released her. DOC or Drone of Compassion was a small, healing robot that she had built herself with a permanent memory processor (PMP) from Chevrex. The drone could retain programming and recordings for just about ever, unless it was destroyed. It was kind of like a black box that was used inside of airplanes so long ago. This was a fact that she read about somewhere online.

DOC was a great asset to the team because it could heal wounded team members. The drone could close up wounds like magic in a matter of seconds. DOC was always ready to help with a quick flick of Lifeline's fingers. DOC was tucked away in a large pocket on Lifeline's baggy pants. DOC was Lifeline's left hand because the drone was always on her left side in her pocket.

By her calculations of the body count, there was only one other Legend, and herself, left in the arena. She also knew that there was only one respawn beacon left inside the ring. She stood up from her sitting position and trembled from the adrenaline, coursing through her veins. She had almost gotten hit from the .50 Cal sniper; almost.
