Dream Catcher

Chapter 2

Kayla was waiting at the coffee shop for Jaime to show up. Her neck was taped up (from the accident) and the doctors said that she couldn't really move her neck without straining herself. She got a ride from Kenny, who is her boyfriend, and he said that he would pick her up from the coffee shop in about an hour. Jaime finally walked in, and she Kayla sitting by herself. She noticed the tape around Kayla's neck, and saw a little bruise surrounding her chin. Jaime was a little skeptical about Kayla had to say, but she went along with it just for Kayla's benefit.

Jaime - Hey Kay....how do you feel?

Kayla - I'm getting better, but I feel like I'm getting worse by the day.

Jaime - Did you take some medicine for the pain?

Kayla - Yeah, but they said there could be some side effects that come with it. Anyway, I need to talk to you about something. Remember when I told you to watch out for Kenny, Sasha, Sarah, and James? Well, I have a feeling that they could be involved in something that could break our bonds apart.

Jaime - Well, I kinda see that Kenny and Sasha are closer than what they were in middle school. Sarah and James hate each others guts, and I don't see any kind of sign of me and James splitting up anytime soon.

Kayla - Well, tell that to this picture that I drew after the dream.

Jaime - What picture?

Kayla brought out a folder that had at least a few papers in it. One of the papers had a picture drawn of James and Sarah being "closer" than what they were. Jaime leaned back in her chair at the sight of picture. She smirked at it, and laughed a bit.

Jaime - There is no way that could be true. Kayla, that medicine may have caused you to have some kind of delusional problems.

Out of nowhere, Kayla's phone buzzed on the table and she saw that she had got a text from Sarah. "Kayla, guess what? James and I are finally together, and he will break things off with Jaime. I hope you are there when it finally happens. XOXO Sarah." Kayla looked at the message, then back at the picture and her mouth hung all the way to the floor. Jaime looked at Kayla, who was stunned beyond comprehension.

Jaime - Is everything ok?

Kayla - No....check your phone really quick.

Jaime - Why?

Kayla - Just check it.....

Jaime pulled out her phone, and she turned it on. She saw that she had a message from James, and Kayla's eyes widened really big.

Jaime - Really? He just broke up with me....and he said that he needed some time to think about our relationship. I really hate hi........

She stopped mid sentence when she saw that she had a message from Sasha. "Kenny won't be getting Kayla, cause he was messing around with me. Tell her that I said that." Jaime looked up at the second picture of Kenny and Sasha together and she almost went speechless. Kayla also got a message, that was similar to the one Jaime had received. Both of the girls realized that they were played by their "ex-boyfriends" and they were ultimately pissed about it.

Kayla - I knew that they were together....he was just waiting to say something about it. Same with James....these guys are really gonna get what is coming to them.

Jaime - Definitely, they will get their's.
