Chapter 9

-Matt's POV-

I woke up in the hospital, and I couldn't move my neck at all. Doctors say that I have a broken neck, and possibly a concussion depending on how hard my head hit the ground. I will be the first to admit this....I have never seen Kenny that mad before.....to the point he drove my head into the ground. It's gotten to the point to where I'm just laying here, remembering when we were little kids and I used to tease him about liking girls, especially when he liked Kayla in elementary school. They were a good couple and I will agree with anyone who said that. Everytime I saw them together they would be happy......then I remember all the times Kayla wasn't at school, he would be with Sasha and they would be all over each other. He wouldn't do that with Kayla, and I know that for sure. Kayla isn't a pushover, yet that is what makes her unique from Sasha. Sasha is the type to easily trip guys up and get them to do something by using their emotions. She didn't do that with Kenny, cause they both had the same amount of hatred for Kayla....plus, they were secretly dating for about several years. Kenny says that have been dating for about 3 or 4 months, but he told me that he has been with her since elementary school. I tried my best not to tell Kayla about Kenny's betrayal, mostly I didn't want to be the one to destroy their relationship. I have ways of keeping up with them both from this hospital. Kayla is here in the hospital for a broken wrist and the check up on her neck. Jaime is also here as well. I heard about the accident with Jaime from a few weeks ago....and I was almost sick to the stomach that Kenny could go to a place with that kind of mental capacity. I called him up about it, and I got something that I couldn't recognize as my cousin. "You stay out of this Matt....she had this coming to her, and she knew it too. What do you know about pain, what do you know about misery, or anything like that? Absolutely nothing....that girl has caused me and my friends so many years of torture with her crap. We all came together and we took her out. If she is still alive at all....we will find her and we will finish the job we started. Now, stay the Hell away or else you will be next to suffer her fate." I asked one of the doctors to find Kayla and Jaime and tell them to come see me. They found me and they saw what Kenny caused...Jaime started to collapse in the chair next my bed. Kayla caught her before she completely passed out, but the effects that these girls went through because of my brother and his punk ass friend....it makes me want to get out of this bed, and go find Kenny. They looked at me, and I looked back at them. Not much was said the first 10 minutes or so, but I began to tell them about what Kenny said to me after what had happened to Jaime. "He wants to kill you, if he ever finds out that you're still alive. I can't do much from this point, due to almost being paralyzed by him, but what I can do is find a way to protect you both from him." Jaime looked down at the ground, and she began mumbling words that I could barely hear. She looked back at me, and I saw a fire that was light under her from all of this. "When you get out of here, all of us will get him and we will take of him ourselves. That way, we won't have to suffer from his so-called "wrath" and we will have him beaten by that time too." The sound of her voice, it sounded like someone had possessed her in a way...kinda like some horror movie effects. Kayla consoled Jaime...then it hit me right in the head. They were finally together after all these years and they seem happy together, except for right now because of the conversation we are in right now. It sucks that Jaime had to go through that, Kayla's parents dying off the same way, and with me dealing with this broken neck. Odd thing was that I found out from an old friend of mine, who is really good with tracking murders, that Kenny and James were the ones to murder her parents. I looked at her, and began to tell her about her parent's death and who caused it. "I had a weird guess that it was those two dumbasses that did it. I'm guessing that they planned to kill them both the same way, and the evidence of their involvement wouldn't be found." She put the nail, dead-center, into the coffin on that one. I didn't have any clue as to how she figured it out, then I remember Kenny saying something about dealing with "Dream Catcher" after Jaime. He was referring to Kayla, wasn't he? No wonder he left her for Sasha....cause she would've found out about him cheating on her. She and Jaime said their goodbyes and walked out of the room. After they had left, I got in contact with my friend Josh. "Josh, it's me.....they said I could've been paralyzed or somewhat close to it. Yeah, you owe me a favor bro......yeah, it's about that time we executed Plan A-12-9......yes, that one. We don't have time to bicker about it, cause both Jaime and Kayla will be wiped out of existence if Kenny gets to them. Come meet me at the hospital and take some of my blood, and engineer that sucker into something that could at least hold them off for now, until I get back on my feet. See ya in a bit." Josh is a little paranoid somethings and I have gotten used to that over the years, but when he is serious and ready to act on anything....he is a whole different person. Why would I, the brother who ruined my brother's relationship, want to stop him from killing anyone else? Simple....by using the one thing that has been illegal throughout the county........a humanoid werewolf that has my blood in it's body. It will find him and get rid of him and everyone that comes close to killing Kayla and Jaime. That is why I would do this.
