Dream Catcher

Chapter 4

Kayla went to sleep around 10 o'clock that night, she had found out that Aunt Lucy was also a Dream Catcher....but more advanced in every way. She closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep. About 3 hours into her sleep, she had a dream that she would be together with someone in the near future. She sat in her dark room, and she tried to wrap her mind around what she just saw. Kayla walked over to her desk, turned on her special light and she went to drawing what she saw. After about an hour or so, she finished the drawing and was almost left speechless. "Jaime....that can't be right, can it? There is something about this that doesn't seem right to me. Although, we are holding hands and....are those promise rings on our fingers? Is this what Aunt Lucy was referring to for me to find out on my own? That Jaime and I are gonna be together in the near future....I hope things will go well, if that happens." She turned off the light, and went to back to sleep. Karen had called Kayla's phone at around 8 o'clock the next morning. Kayla answered the phone, but she kept yawning throughout the entire conversation with her mom.

Karen - How are you doing?

Kayla - Just fantastic....the doctor prescribed this medicine that is supposed to numb the pain. Hopefully, I would be off of it within a few days now.

Karen - Have you heard anything about your dad?

Kayla - Well, he isn't my dad....but they said that I could get him out anytime I wanted to.

Karen - Are you gonna get him out?

Kayla - No, and you are gonna stay in Florida for the remainder of this time.

Karen - Kayla, please don't do this to me.

Kayla - You had this coming to you.....deal with it.

After she hung up the phone, she got a call from Jaime that sounded urgent.

Jaime - Kayla...please get over here right now.

Kayla - What's wrong?

Jaime - I can't say over the phone....just get over here right now.

Kayla got dressed immediately and before she walked out of her room, her eyes traced over to the drawing one more time. She noticed that she was wearing the same outfit that she would be wearing in the picture. Aunt Lucy and Ash came to get Kayla, and take her to Jaime's house. Kayla got out of the car and it seemed that she hopped out of the car. The front door was broken and the inside of the house looked as if a tornado had ripped through it. Kayla called out for Jaime, and she heard Jaime's voice coming from her room up stairs. Kayla rushed up the stairs, and saw that Jaime's room door was on the floor. Kayla walked closer to the room, and she saw Jaime sitting in the corner...back to the door.

Kayla - Jaime.....are you ok?

Jaime - Kenny, James, Sasha, and Sarah....they destroyed everything. I can't say what they did to me....did you see what they did to my puppies?

Kayla - They didn't do what I think they did....

Jaime - They did do exactly that to them.

Jaime tried to stand up, still facing from away Kayla. She turned around about a few inches, her face covered in blood, and a few of her fingers were missing as well. Kayla ran up to the window, and yelled for Aunt Lucy and Ash to get the ambulance. The ambulance arrived and took Jaime to the hospital for immediate surgery. Aunt Lucy and Ash stayed with Kayla, as they stood in front of Jaime's house. Kayla looked up to the sky, and she let out a cry that was similar to the one she made in the hospital. After about 5 minutes, she texted Kenny to get the group together and meet her at the park.

Kenny - What's going on...why did you call us here?

Sasha - Yeah, we had somethings to care of. Oh, I get it....she is just jealous of our relationships.

Kayla - I want answers for what you did to Jaime. I saw the damage....I saw the puppies.....I never thought to see the day this would happen. Kenny...you raped her didn't you?

James - Come on, let's get out of here....this is just a waste of time if you ask me.

Sarah - No, let's stay...I want to hear what she has to say about this.

Kayla - Kenny....did you rape her or no?

Kenny - I could say that it was a team effort...

Sasha - Yep.

Kayla's eyes were filled with tears, as she fell to the ground.

James - Are you gonna cry now?

Kayla - Get out....of my face....before I rip you apart with my bare hands.

James - I'm so scared of you. *to the group* Let's go.

They walked away, leaving Kayla alone in the park. She walked over to the nearest tree, and at the cost of her wrist, she punched a hole through the center of it. She walked to the hospital to see Jaime. The doctors wouldn't let Kayla see Jaime, due to the "accident" being too traumatizing for Jaime. The doctors noticed that Kayla's wrist was broken, and they went to work on fixing it. Out of nowhere, they heard a blood curdling scream coming from Jaime's room. Kayla's eyes began filling with tears and she too, let out a blood curdling scream....there were two teams of doctors; one for Jaime and the other for Kayla. After some time of sleeping, Kayla woke up and she saw a figure standing in the corner of her room. She turned on the light, and she saw Jaime standing there. Kayla walked over to Jaime, and she hugged her with tears with her eyes. Jaime began to cry as well, and they stood there, as if the world or their injuries were non existent.

-Next chapter...we will see the beginning of multiple downfalls and a few uprisings.-
