I look up to see that sexy brunette, Mr. Ricci, standing before me. The prick from the car park next to him. "That idiota was just a prick," I muttered.
"Vivana!" My mother gasped, glaring at me to sit down.
"It's okay. You remember Emma, Luca and this is his best friend Daniel. My daughters couldn't be here today," the man, Hugo, introduces us.
I politely nod my head at Emma and Luca, glaring at the prick. "He's cute," Naomi whispers in my ear, making me jump.
"Who?" I ask, turning to face her.
"Both," she giggles. I shake my head as I cup her chin and push her slightly.
My father began talking to Hugo about work-related things. Mum and Emma were in deep converse. Antonio was on his phone as well as Naomi which left me and the two boys, staring at each other.
My heart raced as Luca stared at me. I wondered if he recognises me from the club. Thankfully, the boy next to him is glaring at me - the feeling is mutual.
Thankfully, our food arrived. I ordered a green chicken salad. "Is that all you ordered?" Mum asked, looking at me.
"Yes, I'm not that hungry," I murmured, taking my sauce and spraying it on my salad.
"Sweetheart, you barely ate any-"
"Mum, it's fine!" I snap, making her shoot me a glare.
I roll my eyes and grab my phone out, scrolling through Instagram. "So, dad. How do you and Mr Ricci know one another?" Antonio asked.
"Believe it or not we're old friends. A pity some issues got in the way of that," dad explained, frowning.
I rolled my eyes and went back to my phone. "Very old friends. I remember when each of you was born," Hugo says, grasping my attention.
"And I was there for you and your sister's birth," dad says, looking at Luca. "That's nice! I think I remember finding a photo of you and father," Luca says.
First time I've heard him speak all morning. Once he's finished speaking with my dad, his focus turns back to me once again.
Fuck this.
"If you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to go for a walk," I stand up, excusing myself. Father nods and goes back to his conversation.
I put my sunglasses on and take a walk down the golf fields. There is no way he would ever recognise me, he can't, I'm masked.
Walking down the pitch, memories of my time with my dad flood through my mind. The good times we had, playing together.
I stand by the wall, observing the kid's golf lessons. My phone began to ring as I was caught up.
"Hey, Maya! What's up?"
"Bro- Get your ass down here! Ara's beating the living shit out of Stacy."
"What?" I asked, gasping slightly, "Why? Please don't tell me she kicked another ball in her direction."
"No-No, I- YES! Just get down here."
"Wait- No- I can't- Fuck." She ended on me. I opened my bag to put my phone down when I felt an arm on my shoulder.
Out of instinct, I gut-punched the fucker who decided to touch me. "What the hell?" I yell, looking at Luca.
"Fucking hell! Mio dio, you've got a strong punch," he groaned, rubbing his stomach. (My God)
"Why are you following me?" I asked, closing my purse.
He straightened up, putting his Dior glasses back on his eyes. "I got bored. Tell me, Viviana, who are you?" He asks, looking straight.
"Who are you, Luca?" I ask, smirking slightly.
He chuckled under his breath, "You look familiar. No, not from our parents. There's a sense of familiarity to you." I gulped and turned to face him.
"Probably from your jackass friend who bumped into me," I scoff, rolling my eyes.
"No...something more than that," his voice low, his eyes stuck on the field.
"I've never seen you before. If you don't mind, I'm going to head back," I say quickly, aiming to move past him.
He grabbed my arm, lowering himself till his lips reached my ear. "I'll figure you out, Russo," he whispers.
He lets go of my arm and adjusts his glasses, "Till then, enjoy the sun." With that being said, he walked away - leaving me speechless.
