"Does my ass look fat enough?" Ara asked, standing in front of my mirror with her ass sticking out.
"Yeah," I mumble.
"What's up with you? You seem off," Maya says, kicking me with her feet.
I brush them off as I continue searching. "I'm looking for something," I mutter, continuing my search.
I ignored them as they carried on talking about Ara's ass. I've been trying to find Luca Ricci everywhere but nothing. He's not on any social media, no dating website, he doesn't even have a company website.
"Viv? Viv!"
"What?" I ask, snapping out of my thoughts. "We asked what you think of Arnold and Sam," Ara said, walking over to me.
"Nothing. They're dicks," I shrug, stretching my leg. "Sam seemed hot," Ara blushes, sighing slightly.
I scoffed, if only you knew baby girl. As Maya was about to say something, the door to my bedroom opened. "Knock much?"
"Ladies, I'm afraid we have guests tonight," my mother says, ignoring my comment.
"Can't they stay?" I asked, not looking up from the computer. "No," is all she says.
I roll my eyes and pout as my friends grabbed their bags. "We'll see you at school, Viv," Maya says, waving.
"Bye!" I exclaim, hearing their footsteps descend. "Get dressed and come down, bring your laptop when you do," my mum says before closing my door.
I groan as I push my laptop to the side. "Fuck my life." I get up and put on a pair of jeans to match the sweatshirt I'm wearing and go downstairs.
I go downstairs and freeze as the devil himself is in my house - oh piss off. "Hello," I politely say, making my presence known.
"Viviana!" Emma exclaims, coming and pulling me into a hug. "Hi, Mrs. Ricci. Mr. Ricci," I nod.
"You remember our son, Luca," she smiles, gesturing to Luca who had a glass of champagne in his hand. "How could I forget"
"And these are our daughters Elena and Bella," Mr. Ricci finishes, gesturing to the two girls.
Oh no- "Hello, I'm Viviana," I smile, extending my hand out to each of them.
I recognised their daughter Bella. She's an international model at the age of 18, her life story was what practically got her where she is. She's adopted.
Elena, I recognise from school. She's a Junior at UCLA and is dating the guy the girls are fawning over in my class - yuck.
"Well, shall we head over to the other room and leave the kids be?" Mother chuckled, gesturing to the 'adults only' room.
The adults left leaving me, Naomi, Antonio, Luca, Bella and Elena. "I remember you, you know," Elena says, taking a seat opposite me.
"You do?" I ask, raising a brow. I've seen her around the halls and such but I've never talked to her before.
"Yes. You were dating Leonardo Perez when you were a senior, sì?" She asks, making me gulp.
I notice Luca sitting down next to her, staring. "O-Oh, yeah. Long done with him," I chuckle.
"We don't speak of him in this house, Naomi whispers to Elena. "Oh, I'm so sorry tesero. I didn't mean to make you sad," she frowns. (Darling)
I shake my head, "Oh no, you didn't. Don't worry." She smiles in return. Her sister, Bella, walks over and sits next to my brother.
"So, Luca. Are you single?" Naomi asks, making me shoot her a glare.
He chuckles and runs a hand through his hair...oh my- "Yeah, yeah I am," he replies, looking at me.
"Good because my sister's in need of a good bang and-" I interrupted Naomi as I shoved a pillow in her face, "Shut up!"
Luca chuckled as did Elena as they both looked at us. "I'm good," I scoffed, glaring at Naomi who sent me a smirk.
"You should both come over to the house sometime," Elena says, placing her champagne glass down.
"Oh, uh- I'm a busy woman," I smile, brushing her off politely. "What about tomorrow?" Luca asks.
I stare at him before replying, "I have plans with my friends. It's a Saturday."
Before he could reply, our parents came in signalling it was time for dinner. I got up with a groan and linked my arm through Naomi's, "You are a dead girl."
"I love you too," she smiled.
-
Dinner was dreadful. I sat opposite Luca who didn't take his eyes off of me once as he ate his food. Dinner concluded with us eyeing one another, him smirking and me glaring.
We were all now in the living room, having dessert. "Mia amore, bring up the family photo album on your laptop. I have a lot I want to show Hugo," dad says.
"Sure!" I smile and grab my laptop which was sitting on the shelf.
I sat back down and turned on the T.V as I turned on my laptop. I entered my password and I froze. Oh- No, no, no, no, no.
"Are you internet stalking me?" Luca asks, smirking at me. I gulped as I shook my head, knowing everyone just saw that.
I quickly close the tab, looking at everyone who was staring at me. "My friend was here and she- she thinks you look good for some reason, which you don't. Not that your ugly but like- you know," I quickly say.
"Just bring the photos," my mother sighs, shaking her head.
My home screen made me smile. It was a picture of me, Maya and Ara in bikinis at Santa Monica beach. We had lollies in our mouths and our boyfriend's behind us, hugging us. We were only 16.
"Is that your boyfriend?" Emma asks, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Sorry- Oh, him. He's my ex from when I was 16," I smile and bring up the photos.
"Ah- You look really young," Bella says. "Yeah, back when school wasn't too stressful," I groan, making everyone laugh.
