Again, thank you all for sticking with us and all of your kind words. See you next week! (or on friday lol...) also p.s. I was reading DnB and kudos to anyone who got past the first like 15 or so chapters. It was uh... interesting to say the least. It has been a year now since we started DnB and it is amazing to see how much we have grown. Thank you all for being there! https://discord.gg/3K4s92ZZJM

Izuku blinked as he began to develop the worst headache he had ever had.

Izuku was confused, he had never died and then woken up to an injury or pain before. He closed his eyes and sunk into the ground. Maybe this newfound quirk had finally given up on trying to bring him back to life. Maybe it finally realized that he was worthless just like everyone else did.

Izuku's train of thought was broken off when the pain faded.

"Perhaps it was a gradual thing? Maybe I have to die a certain number of times before it finally lets me go." Izuku thought to himself.

His theory was suddenly disproved when he opened his eyes again and the head splitting pain was back in full force. Everything was just too bright.

"Wait... I was stabbed and I lost my eyesight in one of my eyes... could the quirk have..." Izuku's eyes opened again in realization before he quickly snapped them shut.

The quirk had given him enhanced eyesight.

Izuku silently cried behind the dumpster for the rest of the day. The light was too painful to even consider moving. Izuku knew that he deserved the pain but he hated to be stuck in an unfamiliar area so vulnerable.

Anything could happen to him and he wouldn't be able to stop it.

Izuku wasn't sure what time it was, but when a soft meow somewhere in front of his face came out of nowhere, he instinctively knew that it was Nala.

Nala sat close to Izuku, her presence keeping him grounded and feeling much safer than he had before.

When night finally fell, Izuku cautiously opened his eyes to see the world in a way he never had before.

Everything was extremely defined and sharp causing Izuku to be overwhelmed by what his brain was trying to process. As he sat on the ground blinking, he slowly became more accustomed to his new heightened sense.

Izuku staggered to his feet, Nala worriedly watching as Izuku started to make his way back to the warehouse.

Izuku was hoping that since he slowly became used to his new sight at night, he would eventually be able to do the same thing during the day so he wasn't stuck cowering from the light all day again.

He knew that he couldn't risk other's safety by going out to help others tonight, so Izuku was left to mull in his own thoughts.

He wondered who the strange person was that was talking to the police, and how he was going to deal with the information that they were trying to find him.

Izuku was terrified of being caught. He would really have to be careful and more vigilant, pun not intended, when he was out and about.

He did however think it was cool that the pro hero knew how to sign. Izuku figured that the pro was probably mute in some form, whether selectively or fully, or had been injured otherwise he would have spoken to the police officers.
