Oh, we forgot to tell you all, we use a lot of things that are in the United States instead of Japan, just because we live in the United States. I forgot that not everyone would know we do that since not everyone reads our other fic... I no smart. Uh quick note then. You can call me Iwa and Shinji is my partner in crime that lurks unseen for the most part. Hi Y'all!! (Shinji says ewwo!) ((I think that means hello... ))

Izuku tried to open his eyes, but they were crusted over as if he had been crying.

As Izuku tried to remember why he would have been crying and it suddenly all came rushing back to him.

Izuku curled into a ball as his body rejected his stomach.

Izuku started to cry again. He felt so disgusting and his body hurt so much. He shivered despite not feeling cold.

Izuku tried to move, but sharp pain raced through his body and Izuku cried out. He had no choice but to stay there, afraid that the man would come back.

It started to sprinkle, soon the clouds unleashed their downpour on the world. The coat that the man had left him with covered him somewhat, and Izuku hastily wiggled out from under it.

He wanted to be clean and he thought the water would help. It didn't.

Izuku desperately scrubbed at his skin, ignoring the pain, trying to get clean. Broken sobs shook his body as his skin turned red and bloody.

Izuku eventually passed out again, the rain thundering around him.

When Izuku woke back up it was sunny.

He was still soaking wet, but he wasn't in as much pain as before.

He slowly stood up and started to shuffle out of the alley way when something caught his eye.

The coat the man had thrown at him.

Izuku really didn't want to take it but it was going to be getting extremely cold out and he wouldn't survive without some sort of protection. Tears stung his eyes as he shambled to the coat, picked it up gingerly as if it would hurt him, and started to drag it, and himself back to his own alley.

He stopped on the way to dig through a dumpster to try and find something to eat.

He did. It was a half a loaf of bread that was only mildly moldy.

Izuku quickly hid it in the big coat and continued his trek back to his alley.

Why did everyone hate him? Why was he so useless? Why didn't mom kill him? He certainly deserved it, so he was confused as to why he was still alive.

Izuku suddenly stopped in the middle of the street.

Maybe he shouldn't be alive, maybe- no. Mom didn't kill him, maybe she would want him back eventually. Izuku shook his head and was about to start walking again when he heard a scream.

He looked around to see if anyone else heard it but all of the people walking suddenly put their heads down and started walking faster.

The scream sounded again.

Izuku panicked. No one was going to help the person that was screaming. No one had come to help him.

He was going to help the person that was screaming.

Izuku awkwardly shambled over to where he thought the screams were originating from.

The scene that greeted him made him angry.

A large woman was towering over a teenage girl, holding a knife towards her with one hand, and the other was out as if the woman was expecting something.

The girl was desperately looking through her belongings as the woman started to growl, "Give me your money, girl, it's not that difficult. If you hurry up, maybe I won't slit that pretty little throat of yours." The girl let out a desperate sob that spurred Izuku into action.

"H-hey!" He pushed out and the woman turned her attention to him, "S-stop! L-leave her alone!" the woman started laughing.

"Yeah, what's a squirt like you going to do? You look like you have more than one foot in the grave, kid." Izuku had to give them that one, he probably looked really bad. At least if the woman killed him, he wouldn't have to suffer anymore.

"Leave her alone." Izuku repeated with a confidence he did not feel.

The woman started to walk towards him, and Izuku involuntarily flinched backwards, "Oh really?" Izuku desperately made eye contact with the girl and silently begged for her to run.

Thankfully, the girl seemed to get the message, as she slowly got up, backing away before running off.

The woman noticed the footsteps and turned around.

"HEY! GET BACK HERE!" Izuku crouched to the ground, his hands searching for anything, anything at all that- oh. That would work, "YOU INSOLENT BRAT! YOU WILL PAY FOR L-" Izuku hit her on the head with the rock that he had found.

The woman's eyes rolled back into her head and she collapsed to the ground, knife clattering down beside her.

Izuku's eyes widened in panic.

10 years later and Izuku still remembered that day. (JKJK)

Was she dead? Did he kill someone? Izuku knelt to the ground next to her body and felt for a pulse the way they did in those medic shows he always watched mom watch. He felt his fingers move slightly.

A wave of relief caused Izuku to fall backward and see a wallet sticking out of the woman's pocket.

The relief turned into guilt and fear.

'I just stopped the woman from robbing that young person, I would be just like her if I take it!' Izuku glanced back over at his moldy bread, 'but at least I didn't go out seeking to hurt others to do it.'

Izuku grabbed the wallet and was about to rush off when the glint of the discarded knife caught his eye.

He paused, glancing between the knife, the direction the young person had run off in, and the woman on the ground.

He could help people, so they wouldn't have to be hurt, Izuku realized, well, he did always say he wanted to be a hero.

Izuku reached for the knife, unaware of the future that came with it.
