A month later, the day before they are going to Toledo
Jughead POV
The last month I haven't talked to Betty, she continue left me on read. I decided to go to her house, ask if she was still up to come with me, find my mom. I drove to her house, and saw her car wasn't there, so i assumed she was at work, so i drove towards the coffee shop. I walked in and immediately saw Betty behind the counter. I walked up to her and said. J-" hey Betty, can i ask you something?" B-" yeah sure, what is it." J-" why are you so mad at me?" B-" cause you almost kissed me, and the next day, a stranger asks you on a date, and you just agree." J-" it was just to get to know each other, and you said to her it's fine. Why is it such a big deal for you?" B-" i told her it was fine, cause i'm not your girlfriend or your mom, and you got to make your own choices." J-" then why are you so mad?" B-" that doesn't matter anymore." J-" i'm sorry, i just really miss my best friend." B-" i'm sorry too Jug, it wasn't my place to act that way, and i miss my best friend too." She smiled at me, and she came up to me to hug me. J-" i don't wanna ruin the moment, but are you still up for tomorrow?" B-" of course, i can't let my best friend down." J-" thanks Betts." B-" anytime Jug." J-" i'll pick. You up at 7am?" B-" alright see you later Jug, i got to finish my work." J-" alright, bye Betts." I said to her, and went back home.

Betty POV
After I was done with my work, I packed my stuff, to go to Toledo with Jug. I packed my backs for a week, since I have no idea how long we will be there. I texted jug to make sure at what time he was gonna pick me up, and he told me 7am. I took a shower, and got ready for bed.

The next morning
Still Betty POV
I woke up around 6 am, I got dressed, and made some breakfast. When the time hit 7 am someone knocked on the door. I opened it and saw Jug standing there. B-" morning!" J-" morning Betts." He said, and I hugged him. J-" you ready to go?" B-" I think j should ask you that questions." J-" yes I'm ready, a little nervous but ready." B-" alright let's go." I said to him, and he grabbed one of my bags, putting it in his trunk. I locked my apartment door, and got in the passengers seat. J-" you wanna stop by the coffee shop?" B-" sounds good to me."

Jughead POV
I got out of the car, and went inside, seeing Sabrina behind the counter. S-" Goodmorning Jug, what can I get for you today?" J-" can I get my usual, and a tea please." S-" sure, with who are you?" J-" not that it is any of your business, but I'm with Betty." S-" you know she likes you right?" J-" she does not like me, we're just friends." S-" and I know you like her." J-" that is true, but she doesn't like me, so why should it even bother me." S-" that's your own mistake Jones, but I'm up for a second date of you want?" She said winking at me, and giving me my order." J-" no thanks." I said. I payed for my order, and left. I got back in the car, and gave Betty her tea. B-" thank you." J-" no problem." I said, and started the engine, driving off towards Toledo. It was an five hour drive, we talked, laughed, and sang to the music. We didn't even care we couldn't sing. We got lunch from Mac Donald's, and for a couple pit stops at Starbucks for some coffee, since we needed the caffeine for the long drive. When we only had to drive thirty minutes I said to Betty. J-" is it weird that I'm nervous? Like I haven't seen her in so long. What if she doesn't remember me, or doesn't wanna see me since she left us. Maybe it had a reason." B-" Jug, stop worrying everything is gonna be Oke, and I promise you that." J-" are you sure?" B-" yes I'm sure. And I never break my promises. Just like I promised u would come with you, and I did even though we hadn't talked in like a month, and I'm still sorry for acting that way." J-" don't be sorry Betts, it was also my fault." She smiled softly at me, and I started to blush a bit, so I focused back on the road. B-" just 10 more minutes to go jug, just focus on your breathing and the road." J-" your so mean sometimes." I said laughing. B-" hey, I just don't wanna die right now you know?" She said and we both laughed d at her comment
