The Kybuck Clan Volume VI (RWBY X Star Wars)

Chapter Four - Division

After awakening Jinn, Ruby proceeds to ask her to reveal what Ozpin was hiding from them much to Ozpin's protest. Jinn soon reveals that Ozpin was once a warrior named Ozma who had onced rescued the human Salem from a tower in an age where magic was available to all humans. They soon learned that Ozma had Salem had fallen in love and lived a happy life together until Ozma died of a mysterious illness. When Ozma dies, Salem attempts to plead to the Gods of Light and Darkness to bring him back to life, in which Ozma is resuruected only to be destroyed again due to the conflict between the two Gods. Salem was soon guided by a mysterious voice calling herself the Mother. It was the Mother who guided Salem to attack the Gods in which she was cursed with immortality. They soon learn that in Salem's isolation, her heart turned to darkness and under the guidance of the Mother, Salem leaps into the Grimm Pool in the Land of Darkness and becomes the being she is today. In response to this, the Gods resuruected Ozma and cursed him with reincarnation in order fight Salem. Team RWBY, Qrow and the Kybuck Clan watched the story unfold as Ozma and Salem clashed time and time again. Eventually, the origins of the Relics and the Maidens are soon revealed. But they also witnessed Ozma using the Relic of Knowledge to ask the first of three questions to Jinn. 

Ozma: How do I destroy Salem?

Jinn(Past): You can't.

With that, the story ended. As Jinn's form vanished into the Relic, everyone was in a state of shock. 

Yang: Salem can't be killed... you all heard her too, right?

As Yang said this, Team RWBY angrily glared upon Ozpin who had taken control of Oscar's body. Yang approached Ozpin.

Yang: There was so much you hadn't told us! How could you think that was okay?!

Ozpin said nothing as he looks down in shame. 

Ruby: Professor... What is your plan to defeat Salem?

Ozpin: I... don't have one...

Rage soon same over Qrow he punched Oscar in the face. The Kybuck Clan soon rushed to Ozpin as they ignited their Lightsabers. 

Yang: What the hell do you think you're doing?!

Katooni: Stopping all of you from making a mistake. 

Yang: A mistake?! He's leading us on a fight against Salem without a plan! You all saw what happened! How could you still defend him?! 

It was clear that Ozpin's past actions began to create a drift within the group. The Kybuck Clan took this moment to reflect on their own actions since arriving on Remnant. Like Ozpin, they kept secrets from Ruby and the others for their own reasons. While none of them agreed with his actions, the Jedi of the Kybuck Clan were in no place to judge. 

Katooni: None of us agree with Ozpin's decision. But that is not our place to judge. 

Yang: So you're all willing to let this slide?!

Petro: If none of you like it, then feel free to turn back. We're more than capable of handling this ourselves. 

At that point, the divide between Team RWBY and the Kybuck Clan were clear. Yang then turned to Gungi.

Yang: Gungi! You can't really be on board with this! Ozpin lied to us!

Gungi: <That may be true, but look at what he lost. He lost everything. That's why we stand with him. Not because we agree with his decisions, but because we know what it's like to lose everything.>

As Team RWBY and the Kybuck Clan become more divided, Maria steps in.

Maria: Enough! We need to get move on. It'll be dark before we know it, and every one of you is spewing negativity. There's a trail over there, trails usually lead somewhere.

Yang: Lady, I don't know who you think you are but....

Maria: No buts! I understand that you're upset. Honestly, I'm still coming to terms with the fact that this is humanity's second time around. But, if we don't move, we die. And I'll be damned if I've lived this long just to die out here in the cold!

Ruby: She's right. Come on.

With that, the group began moving forward. The Kybuck Clan began discussing their next move.

Petro: What's the plan? 

Katooni: What do you mean? 

Petro: You know what I mean. You all saw how Team RWBY reacted. How long will it take before they abandon this mission?

Zatt: You really think they'll just leave knowing the threat that we face?

Petro: Maybe Ruby won't. But I'm not sure about everyone else. Yang looks like she's out of patience.

Huyang: They simply need time, Petro. There is much for them to process. 

Katooni: Professor Huyang's right, Petro. We have to give them time. But still, there's something about Jinn's story that troubles me. 

Ganodi: What's that?

Katooni: Salem was influenced by something called the Mother. There was nothing in any of the fairy tales that mentioned anything resembling the Mother. 

Byph: What are you saying? 

Katooni: I might be wrong on this, but I think the Mother is some kind of Force entity. 

Petro: You really think so? 

Katooni: I'm not too sure. But I do know that the Force is at play here. It's possible Darth Jadus knows it as well. We'll need to remain focused. 

With that, the Kybuck Clan began to slowly piece together the mysterious connection between Remnant and the Force. But before they could do so, they would have to try and mend the divide between themselves and Ruby's group. As it stands, this division threatened to fracture them and leave them all weakened to the deadly alliance between Salem and Darth Jadus.
