"For the hundredth time, It's REON-JWIN. Not Reon-jeon!" Renjun walked to the others at the table, correcting Haechan on the pronunciation of his name in Korean.

When they got to the table and sat down, Renjun placed a paper in front of Jihyun, who halted her movements to look at it. It was a test. A Korean test with Renjun's Korean name written on top. She looked up to meet the boy's eyes, finding Renjun with a pursed smile on his face.

"I did this test today to see where my level of Korean is, and I got a higher score than what I expected," he began."So I want to thank you and Donghyuck for helping me study last night. I planned to invite you to a meal. I'll pay it for you two," he nodded and smiled to get his sincerity across.

Immediately, Donghyuck sighed loudly tilting his head back, causing all eyes to focus on him. "I can't leave house tonight, I'm grounded."

"He didn't even say when, you burnt toast," Mark quickly mentioned, glaring at his friend with annoyance. Then, he slowly realized what he was doing and softening his expression.

"Either way, I can't. I'm sorry." He turned to Renjun with an apologetic face. A fake one. Something Renjun wouldn't really catch, but Jihyun and the rest who had spent years with his shenanigans knew it.

Renjun seemed to fall for it, nodding slightly. "I'll make it up to you later then," he said before turning his eyes to Jihyun. "Will you come?"

Now noticing the plot Haechan was setting, 7 pairs of eyes fixed on the girl, trying hard to look indifferent. Jisung and Chenle both let out a silent laugh at Xinghua's expression. Jihyun didn't want to let Renjun down like that after Haechan rejection, but she didn't want to be teased even further. "Yeah, sure," she said at last, purposely avoiding the gazes from the rest. "Could it be tonight?"

"Yes, wonderful." Renjun smiled, morphing his eyes into a pretty crescent moon-like shape. He took the paper in his hands and opened his backpack, putting it inside. The bell rang again, the 5 minute break was over, and students needed to go back to their classrooms. Everyone at the table bid their farewells quickly and went into separate ways.

"You have a date? With Renjun?" a widened-eyed Jihee sat on her little sister's bed as the younger was looking through her close.

"It's not like that." Jihyun mentioned lowly, visibly thinking what to wear. "He wanted to treat us dinner, Hyuck and I, but the bastard declined so now I'm going to go with Renjun alone. It's not like he asked me out on a date."

"Sounds like it to me. He could've just set another day, you know?" she smirked teasingly at her sister even though they were not facing each other. "Or where you the one who chose the date?"

The highschooler turned to meet her sister's expression with a blank one. "Don't you have a job? Why are you still here?"

"Stress. The doctor said it was a 'hellishly unhealthy' amount of it, and asked me to take some time off of work. Now, tell me, what are you wearing tonight?"

Jihyun paused, looking back at the closet. "I'm not sure, I don't think I can find anything worth trying."

"Anything looks good on you as long as you're confident in it. Besides, why are you caring so much about it? Thought it wasn't a date?" Jihyun sighed in annoyance at the ongoing teasing and didn't reply.

And so, the next minutes were filled with the quiet sound of Jihyun ruffling through her closet and trying some clothes here and then, getting a frown from her senior not because she looked bad in them, but she picked outfits that didn't match and Jihee thought it didn't do her sister justice.

"How about this one?" Jihyun asked for the millionth time, it seemed, not entirely looking forward to her sister's reply.

The older stared at the outfit  for quite some time before giving a nod with a smile. "Yeah, you finally picked a decent look. Now, hurry. Renjun's probably on his way already."

And she was right. Not so long after Jihyun had finished changing into her outfit, there was a knock at the door. Jihee put the most excited smile on her lips as she rushed out of the room not giving her junior any time to react.

Almost falling down the stairs, Jihee sprinted towards the front door, opening it and revealing Renjun standing in front. The latter gave her a shy smile before bowing. "Hello, you must be Jihyun's sister."

"Yes, I'm Jihee," said the girl, giving him a bow in a polite form. "I don't think we've properly met before?"

"We haven't," assured Renjun with an awkward smile, visibly tense. "Is.. Is Jihyun home?"

Upon his question and nervous demeanor, Jihee inferred he was afraid she might have regretted it, making her wonder how his social life used to be like when he was in China while also making her suddenly have the need to hit Donghyuck with a bat for rejecting this poor boy like that. "Yes, she is. She's upstairs, probably looking for her phone or something. Come in, come in, I'll call for her."

Renjun bowed slightly in gratitude and made his way in. Jihee closed the door and started walking up the stairs, disappearing in the hallway.

Short, I know.

But I've barely had any time due to me getting my first dose of vaccine and issues with my injured wrist. I'm sorry </3
