"What did you tell him?" Jeno was the first one to talk at lunch. His voice was low and angry as he questioned the boy. His stern expression was shared with the other 6 people in the group.

Chenle took a seat and looked at each of them before speaking. "I just asked his own story of what happened. If we're gonna hate on someone, I want to make sure we have both sides of the story." Jihyun sat next to him. She looked mighty furious, yet a flash of sadness showed itself very often.

Not so long after, Xinghua approached them. "What are you gonna do?" she asked Chenle in Chinese, making sure no one else there could understand. No one really questioned it as Xinghua and Chenle often used Chinese to talk to each other.

Chenle replied in the same language. "Ten suggested making her jealous, so Hendery went looking for someone. I don't know who, though." He turned and looked towards Renjun and the boys' direction. "Look," he finished in Korean, nodding towards them.

All eyes darted towards them and there it was. There was a roundly faced girl among the group of boys. She seemed familiar, but they couldn't quite see her features due to the distance and the people walking in between, blocking their view. "Hey, isn't that—"

"Ningning?" Jihyun asked in disbelief. The girl mentioned used to be friends with Jihyun when they were much younger, until she found a 'better' group of friends and ignored Jihyun. That's the reason why Jihyun started hanging out with the boys at lunch. "Great. So Ningning talks to him now."

She didn't outwardly mention it, but it was clear that she was even angrier upon this view. Chenle and Xinghua exchanged a look before the boy spoke. "She must have seen that you and him were friends and didn't waste time."

In the distance, Ningning and Renjun seemed to be flirting with each other, which only made Jihyun's and the boys' blood boil. "How shameless," Jisung was quick to mention with a disgusted frown.

There was a spark in Jihyun's eyes. It wasn't jealousy, more like mere anger. She knew she wouldn't ever let Ningning make a clown of her once again. She had to do something.

"How do you even know Ningning and Renjun flirting will get us somewhere?" Ten asked Hendery with a confused frown.

The younger shrugged as he took a sip of his beverage. "A gut feeling, I suppose. Look at Jihyun's face right now."

And they turned. To their amusement, Jihyun stared directly at Renjun and Ningning, not even blinking. As the group of Chinese folk kept eating and chatting, Ningning and Renjun kept doing these soft coupley interactions with each other until Renjun uttered, "I need to go to the restroom." He didn't even give anyone time to react before he was on his way. Unfortunately, his new group was too focused on their chatting and food to even notice Jeno walking behind him.

It wasn't until they had both reached the restroom that Renjun noticed Jeno's presence as he spoke. "What kind of disgusting plan is this?" was what he asked, making Renjun's soul leave his body temporarily. "First you make fun of Jihyun, then you make her cry twice in one day, then flirt with the girl that has ridiculed her for years?"
