I loved the clouds
til I was told
they would freeze me.
I loved the sun
til I was told
it would scorch me.
I loved the sea
til I was told
it would drown me.
I loved the rocks
til I was told
they would crush me.
I loved the wind
til I was told
it would choke me.
I loved people
til I was told
they would hurt me.
I truly loved life
til I was told
it would kill me.
