ALESSANDRO
It has been almost two months since I last saw her. I am still in Florence close to Demetrio. He hasn't left, yet. He wants to make sure everything is okay and that all of us are safe. The thought of Amalia being by herself in Sicily, angers me. What is someone attacks her? She only has those useless guards around her and not me.
Why is she pushing me away? I know she feels guilty and is scared of what might happen to me and my daughter, but Lily and I are my responsibility. Whether she likes it or not, Lily's and my life are either way in danger. They know about us.
I couldn't stay away from her. After hearing her voice yesterday, I realized how stupid I was. I shouldn't have listened to her and I should have just went to her house and forced her to let me stay with her. Me being away doesn't do anything. The fact that I am still in Florence beside Demetrio says it all. We are all still in danger.
"Daddy!" Lily's voice echoes through the room. I stand up and walk towards her room, where she is calling from. I open the door and find her trying to tie her hair.
"What are you doing?" I ask, confusedly.
"Help me with my hair." I oblige without further questioning. I help her tie her hair and once we finished, she turns around and looks deeply into my eyes. "We are leaving," is all she said.
"Leaving, where?" I ask, furrowing my brows.
"To Sicily - to Amalia." She replies, getting her backpack from the bed. What is she doing?
"What do you mean "going to Sicily"?" I ask. Am I about to be controlled by an almost 5-year-old girl?
"Come on, daddy. We have to go to Amalia, I miss her and clearly, you too." She says, as a matter of fact.
Without much hesitation, I quickly run to my room and grab a small backpack and put the essential stuff. I take our passports and some money, and run to the living room. Lily is waiting for me impatiently.
I turn off all the lights and we leave the house. I make sure to send Demetrio a message telling him of what idea Lily came up with. I still can't believe that she was willing to literally maybe leave without me. I should thank her because without her, I wouldn't do this step. One thing I was afraid off is going to Amalia and she doesn't agree to speak with me. I couldn't handle it, especially after seeing her. But not that Lily's with me, I highly doubt Amalia will say no.
I buy two plane first class tickets from Florence to Sicily. The closest plane departing is in one hour, which is good. We go and sit in a restaurant in the airport and eat a little meal.
"I can't wait to see her, Daddy." Lily says, breaking my heart. I didn't know that she is too attached to Amalia. I knew she loved her a lot, but not like this. This makes me more determined and confident to go to Amalia and even if she disagrees to talk to me, I will make her. I will show her that we are safe - that no harm will comes to us, and that we are stronger together.
After 30 minutes, we were called to the gates. Lily and I walk into the gate, as we get scanned by a machine. We soon were allowed to enter the plane. Thank god, we don't have a lot of luggage. Just two small backpacks.
sitting on our seats, we buckle up and wait for departure.

The plane just landed and Lily and I make our way out of the airport. We find a taxi outside waiting for anyone to ask for him and we do. I walk towards him, making sure Lily's beside me. I ask if he's free and he says yes. We step into the car and I give him the address.
