It all went dark. Rose couldn't see or hear anything. Suddenly, she could hear breathing close to her face. A little sniff in between each breath, but not the 'I-have-a-cold' sniff, more like the person had been crying. She recognized this presence, it was definitely Tom. It's strange how a person can just notice a presence, it's like one knows another well enough to notice their presence and their presence only. Rose forced her eyes. Light flashed in her eyes as she blinked awake.

Tom sat back as he saw her wake up. He kept staring at her and then back at the ground. He couldn't even look at her for straight five seconds. He was frowning, he looked like he wanted to say something, yet he looked apologetic, like he never wanted any of that to happen. She sat up and just stared at him for a few seconds and then frowned and payed attention to the sharp pain in her feet. Her feet were clutched by large chains. She looked at him as that would be an answer for why this was happening to them.

She dragged her self closer to him. They were so close, their legs were touching. She leaned foward and placed her forehead gently in his shoulder, but somehow this did not comfort her at all. She felt as pained  and guilty as she did before. At least, it comforted Tom, because as soon as she was there for a few seconds he cried in her shoulder and hugged her like he wanted her for himself. She, now, having Tom crying in her shoulder, could not forget what Scorpius had said to her and the brief few moments that they kissed. She put her hand in his hair attempting to soothe him and while she was remembering what she and Scorpius did, she said, "I'm sorry."

She lied, she wans't sorry. She felt terribly satisfied with herself. Maybe it was because after 3 years of dating Tom, Scorpius was something new. And new is exciting and left her wondering what else new could bring and if it would give her butterflies in her stomach as well and she needed new. She didn't old. Old was boring. It made her feel like an antique piece of jewelry that she would never be able to touch, 'so why keep it?' she thought, but here she was comforting old because she broke him and left the shiny new piece of jewelery upstairs to become an old memory of something she tried on but was too expensive for her to afford.

"That's okay. I'm more sorry. I should've never let him do that to you." he cried. She stroked his hair and tried to bend down to see his face but felt her back cracking a little bit. She heard a soft zing in her ears, but nothing compared to what she had just suffered few minutes (maybe hours) ago. She quickly went back to her original position.

"Do you want me to sing to you?" she couldn't believe that she had just said that. Who'd want to sing at times like these? Sometimes she did the silliest things.

"Yes, please." he answered humbly.

"Ok." and she started singing. She sang the song by Lilly Allen, "Somewhere only we know". Her notes weren't as high and her voice felt weak. The zing still stung her ears, she could barely hear herself singing. "What time is it?"

"It's 10:30 at night." he answered. She could tell he felt a little bit better.

"Can I ask you a favor?"

"Always, my love."

My love, now there was the guilt she hadn't felt before. She stopped loving him back this morning or maybe it was the morning before, or maybe she had stopped loving the week before. If she thought back to it, maybe she had stopped even longer, "Will you, please, get me a book? 'Like Beetle & the Bard'. If I'm going to stay here, I need to read and bring me some parchement as well, there's some in my room. Please, will you do it?"

"Of course, Rosie." he smiled and kissed her cheek.

"Oh my gosh! I can't believe that Rose's gone," said Rachael. Rachael was one of Rose's friends. She had long dirty hair and beautiful hazel eyes. She was one of Rose's popular friends, one of those pretty ones that you hate her just because she looks good. However, she wasn't a horrible person. She was bubbly and nice and funny.

"I know, Rose and I had a song to practice this morning. I was so shocked when she didn't show up. I was literally freaking out!" Kyla said really loudly. She was another one of Rose's popular friends, along with Rachael, Nessa and Alexandra, or Alex. Kyla was studious, but she was still as popular as can be. She was extremely smart, she adored correcting the teacher and loved music. Rose and her used to parctice together, Rose sang and Kyla played the piano. They made a perfect duo. Kyla was great at playing the piano, but she was a perfectionist and would obssessed over every little mistake.

"Yeah." agreed Alex. Alex was the shyest. Well, she was shy when people she didn't really know, but when it came to her friends she was a lot better and just as sassy and fun as the others. She was very tall. She had curly black hair and really neat chocolate brown eyes.

Tom was walking towards Rose's room to get the parchement when she noticed her friends were by her dorm. He hid behind a wall in front of her room, listening to their conversation.

"Should we go in?" Rachael asked.

"I don't know. I feel like that would be trespassing. We might get into trouble, I don't want to get into to trouble." Kyla said in a scared tone. Rachael put her hand in the handle and said the password.

"That's weird. She must've changed the password." Rachael said, pushing the door as hard as she could, but failing every time she did so.

"Why would she do that?" asked Nessa who had been standing quietly the whole time.

"Maybe, someone found out and she was told to change it." said Alex.

Kyla looked thoughtfull for a moment, "No, that's unlikely. She probably wouldn't really care about that."

Tom decided he'd aparate in. The girls jumped at the weird aparation noise behind them and at the one that came from inside the room.

"Rose, are you there?" asked Alex from the outside of the room.

Tom tried to be as quiet as possible, but there was stuff all over the place and it was hard not to brush against some books or trip on her shoes. He saw the copy of 'The Beetle & the Bard'. There were some papers on top of it and he just took them with him. Some of the papers had stuff written all over it all ready, but he didn't think she would mind. He made the mistake of not reading it. All over the paper, it was written with what would be the start of a spell, or a chant, that could bring people back from the dead. When, her parents said that Rose was a clever girl, they were in for a surprise. At just 17, there was a great possibility that Rose would be the first person to create a spell that would bring people back to life. She could see things, others weren't able to see. It was really unexplainable, she could find all that from a book, when the answer wasn't right in front of her. And she was so sure that it would work, but she would not be able to do this alone. The spell would only work if more people were repeately at the specific place. At the bridge, where the three brothers met Death.
