"We need to be prepared for the worst," said McGonagall walking through the various students from each houses, she stopped in the middle of the four houses, "we expect the Death Eaters to attack soon, but we don't know when. So, we plead that all houses remain together in this fight," Minerve shifts her attention to Rose's healed but shattered hand, "Miss Weasley, what happened to your hand?"
Rose looked at Tom, who was looking sternly at Rose, "Nothing, Professor," then Rose felt Scorpius elbowing her, before McGonnagal could proceed, Rose said, "Actually, Professor, something did happen, but I'd rather speak to you in private."
Tom gave her a surprised look. Rose would've never throw him under the bus like that! That Malfoy kid must really have a strange influence on her. Tom decided that he'd confront her about Malfoy 'controlling' her.
Professor McGonnagall continued to tell the students the happenings of the year and when she dismissed them, Tom grabbed Rose to a secret corridor.
"What are you doing, you pervert," she shouted pushing him away.
"Don't you see what he's doing to you?" Tom said trying to quiet her down, "Trying to change you, Rosie. I don't want that."
"He's not trying to change me," Rose said quieter, "you dumb twat."
Tom choked up the sentence, 'Don't call me that!' and replaced them with the words, "You're really going to throw three happy years with me away, for a miserable on with him," Rose gave him a surprised look, "After all is said and done, you're going to look at him and only be able to remember how miserable this year was, and there are going to be fights and arguments and then you''ll break up with each other and you'll be miserable again because of him, when will you realize that–"
"It was nice meeting you, Tom," she angrily turned on her heel. He pulled her back against the wall.
"Let me just give you a friendly reminder on how nice meeting me was," he said, pulling her close to him. He pressed his lips against hers. Rose didn't cooperate, she just stood there, uncapable of doing anything, it felt like she was stunned. He aparated them both to his room. Rose looked around, she knew the room almost like her own. She started to plan ways out.
'There's the obvious door, but it's behind him and I'd have to know the password to get out, which he obviously changed,' she thought, "There's also a door just behind me, but it leads to the bdsm room which would be a dead end, plus it wouldn't be safe to be there with him, taking into account that he's angry..."
She pushed him away and sat on the bed, "What do you want, Tom?"
"You. I want you and I know I dont deserve you," he kneeled, looking like a begging man, he put his hand on her knee, "But I want you so bad. Please Rosie. I beg of you."
Rose realized that she could make him whatever she wanted. He knew she was pissed and he knew he wouldn't get her back until she stopped being pissed, but this year he messed up big time.
"What makes you think I want you back?" she said, pretending to be mad, even though she was hiding an evil smile.
"Nothing. You don't want me back, I want you back," he said, "I need you back!"
She didn't respond.
"Remember, every Christmas you came here to Hogwarts so I wouldn't be alone," he started, "We sat on the roof of the Ravenclaw Tower to see the sunset. We used to go to Hogsmeade together every weekend. We were happy, Rose, I want to be happy again."
"You truly believe you deserve me back?"
"No, not at all. I should've thought it through, I should've never took you down there. It was my mistake and I need to fix it," he said sadly, "I'm sorry for that. I–I'm sorry that I hurt you," he took her shattered hand, "Just give me another chance. You're not a quitter, Rose. You don't just leave when things get hard and you've showed more than enough proof that you'd be a damn good Gryffindor. We can help each other through this. No more dominant or submissive. Just us as equals. That sound good?"
"What about Scorpius?" she asked quietly.
He sat next to her and hug her, "He can find a thousand girls who will want to be with him, I can only find you. And if you don't want to be with me anymore..."
"I want to be with you," she stated firmly like it was the most certain thing in her life.
"I want to be with you too," he said happily.
"I'll talk to him, okay?" she stroked his face.
"Okay," he smiled.
***
"So, you're breaking up with me?" Scorpius asked loudly, getting the attention of all students in the Ravenclaw Tower.
"Scorpius, keep quiet!" she demanded just as loudly.
Scorpius: I don't know what he said to you–
Rose: This is not about him, Scorpius,–
Scorpius (in sarcastic tone): I'm sure it's not.
Rose: I gotta go.
"He's the bad guy," Scorpius said sadly.
Rose said, " Not all the time. He's not."
"Is there anything that I can do to change your mind?" Scorpius asked wistfully.
She delicately kissed his cheek, "Sorry and thank you for everything," she said faintly, "Bye now."
