Nessa and James went out on their first date. They went to the Three Broomsticks and they asked for a booth, so they could have privacy and no-one they wouldn't be seen together (in a romantic way).

Nessa laughed, "No way, you did that?"

"Yeah and then I got caught and I got detention for 4hours for two weeks," he said cockily.

The booth was closed and only if the green card was outside saying it was okay to come in, the waiters could come in. It was great for new couples.

James looked into her eyes, they were a beautiful shade of dark blue. He said, "What about you? Have you gotten into any trouble?"

"No, not really. I need to stay out of trouble if I want to stay in the cheerleading team," she said blushing.

"Why the cheerleading teams anyway?" James said scooting closer to Nessa, " I mean, I like being cheered on by girls but it seems pointless."

"I guess they just wanted to be more muggle-friendly," said Nessa, "I don't know what I would do without it though."

"Yeah, why not quidditch?" he asked.

"I'm not good at it," she replied, "Rose, on the other hand, is great at it."

"I heard itwas a heck of a fight for her between the cheerleading and the quidditch team," he said, at the same time putting his arm around Nessa, "but enough talking about Rose, let's talk about you."

He leaned into Nessa and kissed her lips softly. She felt his tong forcing his way into her mouth, so she opened it. She felt her stomach do something weird, but she carried on kissing. James put his hands on her waist and slowly picked her up and placed her in his lap. She felt his hands lowering into her arse. He cupped it with both of his hands, then he traced the lining of her pants and tried to undo them while snogging. While he struggled to undo her jean, she kept remembering what some girls would say to her in First Year. Fat, ugly, disgusting, grotesque, deformed, beastly, horrid, hideous, monstrous, not much to look like... She broke the kiss. This couldn't happen. An ugly petty girl couldn't possibly date James Sirius Potter. She did her jeans correctly and sat back in her place. She straightened her top and tightened her ponytail.

"What's wrong?" James said sitting closer to Nessa.

"Nothing, I'm fine," she said that and thought quietly for a few seconds, then finally spoke, "James what do you want from me?"

"What do you mean?" he said indignantly, " I like you, I really do. So why are you so upset?"

"It's nothing. Just I don't want to do this now," she said with tears in her eyes.

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked.

"No," she said, " Let's talk about something else."

"Like about how beautiful you look today," he said kissing her cheek.

Her cheeks turned red, "Stop flirting," she said, " I didn't try very hard, to be honest."

Who was she kidding? She had tried so hard. Hours of trying on various different outfits and picking the right makeup, perfume, shoes, nail polish, rings, jewelery...

"I have a question I want to ask you," said James, staring into her eyes.

"Go on," she said looking down at her hands.

"Would you like-" he stammered, "to be my girlfriend?"

"Me?" she asked.

"Yeah," James said, " you don't, do you?"
