The next day, she woke up in her own bed. She didn't remember ever coming back to bed. All she remembered was being on the Chamber of Secrets with Tom. Tom was a very mysterious guy. They weren't sure if he was a pureblood, half-blood, muggle... He was found by Professor McGonagall in a muggle orphanage. They had no idea who his parents were or where he came from. Was it scary that he didn't know his past? Rose wondered. She wanted to find out more, but how could she, if she was a mere girl, and there were people that were looking for answers already.
She forced herslef out of bed. She had her own bedroom, as all students did now. The school now believed that every student should have their own space, so after they reconstructed Hogwarts they gave everyone new bedroom suites.
It was Sunday. She got dressed and did her crazy, big red hair. It was as if she had magical powers that allowed her to tame her hair. She put it in a ponytail and let the perfect curls fall on her back. She checked her watch. It was 10:55 am. She was late. She had promised Scorpius she would study with him that day at 10! She was one hour late, for goodness sake! She couldn't afford to be late again with someone else.
She ran out of the room and into the library. She searched for Scorpius in between every pair of shelfs. She didn't find him anywhere. Oh no, he must've left, she thought.
She turned around to leave when she bumped into Scorpius, "Hey! Sorry, I'm late," he said, "You're probably fuming, but I had one bottle too many and over slept. Hope you're not mad," he put his hands in his messy blonde hair.
She was visably relieved, "No, I'm not mad at all. I was just wondering if you'd ever come."
She sat down and put her stuff on the desk. He soon followed her movements and did the same.
"So, should we resume what we did last time," she said, looking thoughtfully to the thick book, and he nodded, "So, Voldemort was just defeated and he left the school in ruins."
"Can I ask you a question?" Scorpius interrupted.
She looked up from the book slowly, "Sure."
"How can you be so smart and still be popular?" asked Scorpius putting both his elbows on the desk in front of him, "I heard that you're smarter than your mother."
She stared at him blankly, she thought that was a very stupid question. He was a Ravenclaw too, he should know.
"You're a Ravenclaw, you can figure it out yourself." she answered cooly.
"Okay, I see." he smirked, "Do you want to skip this and go find a nice place to snog?"
"No. What? Are you climbing your way throught the Potter-Weasley family tree?" she said, "First Lily and then me. That's rich."
"Why not?" he asked.
"Because," she stuttered, "People."
He smirked, "It's that guy Tom, isn't it? I hate him, he seems too controlling, plus he's like everywhere you go. He should step back and take a chill pill."
"Scorpius, you can't say that! What if he hears you?" Rose looked around worriedly, checking rapidly if Tom was around.
"Relax," said Scorpius, "The guy is a twat, nothing more. Do you really think he's that amazing?"
Rose was furious. He couldn't say that! He had no right! She looked back at the book angrily.
"Let's keep on task, shall we?" she said not waiting fot a response, "Voldemort is rumored to have asked one of his most loyal death eaters to 'make' him a son–"
"Maybe the son was Tom." Scorpius joked.
"Maybe the Death Eater was your dad." she said sternly and carried on reading, "It's claimed that he told the said Death Eater shan't do it immediately. So, basically the Death Eater would have to wait a few years and then he/she would make him a child."
"I always thought that Tom looked like young Tom Riddle, but now that I think about he might be his descendent–" he said playfully.
"Enough." Rose shouted. She stood up, "I'm leaving."
"No, Rose, wait! I'll stop." Scorpius grabbed her hand.
"No, enough is enough." she said.

~In a dream~
"Rose," Tom said from the dark of the room they were in, "What was that about with Malfoy?"
"I don't know," Rose looked down to the dark floor, in which she was standing, "He just lashed out at me."
"And you defended me?" he asked, sounding more like an affirmation than an actual question.
"Of course, I did, Tom." Rose looked up to him.
Tom smiled. He did look a lot like the pictures of Voldemort, she noticed.
"Good," He spun her around, "Then I can tell you what I found out about my family."
"Oh, great! You found them?" she asked with a smile on her face.
"Yes, I did. But, unfortunately, my father is dead." he said witha smirk, "but I can still talk to him."
"But– how?"
"Easily, he has this diary, that he speaks with me throught it." he took it out of his robes, "I write to him, he writes back to me."
"What is your father's name?" Rose asked worriedly. Diary, that sounds a lot like Voldemort all over again, she thought.
"Tom!" he exclaimed, "Tom Riddle Jr."
"You mean, Voldemort?" Rose asked, attempting to sound calm.
"Well, yes, but just because he's bad, it doesn't mean I'm going to become bad. Otherwise, you wouldn't be talking with me."
"You have to stop talking to him immediately." Rose said distancing herself from him.
"I need to know more about my past." he took a step closer.
"The more you know, the more you'll reveal. It's not safe, Tom!" she took a step further away from him.
"But he's my father." step closer.
"But then Malfoy will be right about you." step further.
"What did he say about me?" step closer.
"Nothing bad, all good things." step further, more worried now.
Tom grabbed her wrist and screamed, "What did he say about me?"
"I need to wake up." Rose said closing his eyes.
"You must remain asleep," Tom said, he was just inches from her face, "What did he say about me?"
"He said nothing I swear." Rose sobbed. Why was she protecting Scorpius Malfoy? She couldn't possibly have fallen for his charismatic looks, has she?
"Rose Jean Weasley, I swear if you don't tell me what he said, you're–" she snapped back to reality. She was laying on her bed. She sat up on the bed and brought her knees to her face.
Oh, god, what have I done? she asked herself.
She stood up and locked her door shut and changed her password, to make sure no-one would get in. She saw the curtains dancing through the room. She closed the windows too. In the proccess, she looked outside, to the quidditch court. Slytherin was practicing. Good, that meant Tom wouldn't try to approach for a while now. For now, she could rest asured and owl Scorpius to be aware of this.
