In this fic, Julie and Bobby don't exist and the boys don't die, this is based in the 90s while they're all in high school. Melody Peters is Reggie's cousin and she is turning 17. Reggie and Melody have always been close but now she has to live with him and his family after her parents die in a tragic accident. When a new friend, let alone a girl who is also a songwriter comes into the boys lives, how will this affect the band? Will Melody join the band? Let's find out! In later chapters there will be mentions of abuse, and I will make sure that there's a trigger warning and have a little alternate section for people to read if they don't want to hear all of the details of the abuse.
