Luke's POV.
Once we closed out the show we went backstage for about 15 minutes to cool down after performing. I couldn't help but notice how great Melody looked after performing that whole show. Her make-up was ever so slightly smeared, and the curls in her hair had fallen out due to sweating and jumping around the stage so much. It was so.. Attractive. I'm finally getting to a point where I feel comfortable with the fact that I am extremely attracted to her and I have told Reggie and Alex as well. Melody makes me a better writer and I absolutely love writing music with her. Sunset Curve wouldn't be complete without her.
"Lets go hang out with some fans!" Reggie said, interrupting my thoughts.
"Maybe you'll finally find a girlfriend," Melody said while laughing really hard.
"Ya know what, maybe I will," he responded, causing her to laugh so hard she snorted. Then her snorting caused us all to start laughing with her.
"That was the cutest thing I have ever heard," I chuckled, wrapping my arm around her shoulders, receiving a combination of questioning yet excited looks from the guys.
She playfully shoved me off of her, "Ew! Lucas, you're so sweaty!" We exited the back room and entered the small group of fans who had stayed behind. We went up to a small group and began a conversation.
Melody's POV.
The guys and I went up to a small group of girls and immediately they were all over Luke and Reggie. Reggie seemed to be absolutely eating it up, but Luke just seemed like he was being nice. They must have known that Alex is gay, otherwise I'm sure they would have been fawning over him as well.
"Oh my god, hi, I'm Heather and this is my friend Macy! We're huge fans!" One girl said, shoving her way closest to Luke. Pushing me out of the way in the process
"We totally love you guys" her friend Macy said while getting closer to Reggie.
Alex could tell I was uncomfortable around these girls basically throwing themselves at the guys and pulled me away to sit at a table.
"Thank you for that, I needed to get out of there," I smiled.
"No problem. I didn't think you wanted to see how desperate Reggie can get," Alex laughed.
We talked a little longer before I caught something out of the corner of my eye.
Immediately, I swung my head around to look in the direction of Luke and Reggie. The girl who had introduced herself as Heather was all over Luke and he was just going with it. She was touching his arm and batting her fake eyelashes. I felt my heart drop.
But why? I don't even know Luke that well, yet I feel so hurt at the sight of him with this Heather girl.
Like he could read my mind, Alex spoke up, "What's wrong Mel?"
"Do you think Luke likes it when all those girls flirt with him and are all over him?" I asked, trying not to sound jealous.
"I don't think he really cares. The music is what's important to him. Reggie on the other hand," he pointed towards my cousin. "He eats it up. It's pretty funny if you watch him for long enough," we laughed together.
"Why do you ask?" Alex said before taking a sip out of his water bottle.
"Promise you won't tell Luke?" I asked, looking in their direction, and feeling my heart sink.
"Of course, Mel. You can trust me," he smiled.
"We'll you and Reggie keep leaving me alone with Luke when you go get us food during rehearsals.. Therefore we have been spending quite a lot of time alone, and nothing has really happened exactly.." I blushed over the thought of something actually happening between us as I continued. "But we have spent so much time together writing, I can't help but feel like we're growing really close. He knows so much about me and he has been there to help when I woke up from nightmares about my parents. Even when we watched that scary movie last night, he comforted me a lot when I got scared,"
