Chapter 13

I woke up the next morning realizing I had fallen asleep with I was crying, I still had my clothes on from yesterday. My eyes hurt, I decided to email Robby. Hoping that he would be able to see it.

'Robby I'm so sorry, but I hope you know this is for the best. I'm worried about you, and I hope you know I will always be here for you no matter what.' I send it and then put my phone down and then I go take a shower. I was going to go see Miguel today. He had woken up but I heard he may never be able to walk again. Once I got out of the shower, I put on sweatpants and a hoodie. I let my hair dry some then I put it up in a bun. I put my shoes on and drive to the hospital. I get there and go to Miguel's room.

"Hey." I say coming into the room.

"Hey." He says then he looks at me a little worriedly. "Are you okay? You look pale and your eyes are red." He asks

"Oh uh yeah I'm fine, just had a rough night." I answer. Sam comes in, she was holding a card. "I should go." I say.

"No it's fine you can stay." Sam says softly. Miguel and Sam started talking, I was fighting the urge to throw up and my head was killing me. My eyes were closed and then I felt a hand on my forehead. "Max, your burning up." Sam proclaims.

"I think I should head home." I whisper softly.

"Okay I'll come with you." She offers. I nod.

"El Serpiente!" I hear a familiar voice behind me say. I turn around and see Hawk. Sam grabs my arm.

"Come on lets go." She says. We walk past Hawk. He softly grabs my arm.

"Are you okay baby?" He asks softly.

"Yeah, I just feel a nauseous that's all." I answer, he kisses my forehead and turns to Sam.

"You got some nerve coming here after what your boyfriend did to him." Hawk snaps.

"Hawk don't." I say.

"I don't care what you think. I just wanna help." Sam answers.

"Pretty sure you've done enough, princess." He barks.

"Stop it!" I growl. "Come on Sam let's go." I grab her arm, Hawk rolls his eyes and goes into Miguel's room. Sam and I leave.

"Do you want me to come to your apartment?" Sam asks.

"Yes please." I answer softly. We both get into out cars and drive to my apartment, once we get there we both go sit on my couch. "I love Hawk, but he is changing." I murmur.

"Yeah, I mean come on he tried beating up his own friend at the mall." Sam adds.

"Did your dad tell you about Robby?" I ask her.

"Yeah...I hope he is okay in there." She whispers.

"I can't believe the Cobra Kai's they blame all Miyaji Do's, they say you guys started it. Tory is the one who started it, well the fight at least."

"But I did kiss Miguel, though she didn't have to start a fight." Sam explained. "Hey the Miyaji Do's and some other people are doing a car wash today to raise money for Miguel's surgery, do you want to come?" She asks.

"Yeah sure, I feel a lot better." I answer.

"Okay get a bathing suit on, and then we can go to my place so I can change then we can go over there." She says. I nod and go to my room. I put on a marron colored bathing suit, I put shorts and a tank top of that. Then Sam and I go to her house she gets changed and then we go to the place where the cash wash was going on. People hand already started, I take off my tank top and go over to the car Moon was working on and start helping her. The car wash goes on for a few hours then Sam and I go back to her place and hang out. It was getting dark but I was planning on staying the night, we were making brownies, then the door bell rings. Sam and I go answer it was some people from Miyaji Do. Demetri, Chris, and a few others.

"Hey, what's up?' Sam asks.

"Is your dad here?" Chris asks.

"No, he's at work. Why?" Sam asks.

"Cobra Kai took the money and..." Demetri starts.

"They kicked the fucking shit out of me." A boy, Nathaniel, said pushing his way through. He was beat up, pretty badly. Tears filled my eyes.

"Hawk, was Hawk one of them?" I ask, my voice cracking. The Nate nodded. "Damn it, Hawk!" I yell, I walk away and go upstairs to Sam's room. I take out my phone and text Hawk.

'It's over, I can't do this anymore' I text.

'What do you mean?' He replies.

'I'm breaking up with you' I answer.

'What, why?' He asks.

'You beat the kid up and took the money that we worked for. We were going to give that to Miguel.' I reply.

'They were going to keep the money for themselves.' He answers.

'No! They weren't! Why can't you see that maybe they want to help.' I respond.

'They started this!' He responds.

'Tory started the fight!' I answer. He doesn't respond at first.

'Baby I'm sorry.' He replies.

'Don't call me baby, we are over Hawk.' I answer.

'Please Max, I need you.' He responds.

'You should have thought about that before you did what you did, I can't be with a bully. Kreese is turning you into a monster, just like he did with my dad.' I reply and then I put my phone down, it buzzes but I don't look at it. It buzzes more, he was calling me. I didn't answer instead I laid my head on a pillow and fell asleep. Crying, I fell asleep crying once again.
