Cobra Kai : Hawk Love Story

Chapter 14

I wake up, my eyes burned from crying. My cheeks red, stained from tears. It was still kind of dark outside, I look at the alarm clock on the bed side table, 4:00 am. I groan but get out of bed, I go downstairs and into the LaRusso's larger kitchen. I decide to make breakfast for everyone. It was long after that Sam joined me in the kitchen.

"Hey, are you okay? I heard you crying last night." Sam wonders.

"Oh uh yeah, I broke up with Hawk." I answer softly.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Maybe it was for the best." Sam assures.

"Yeah...anyway want to help me make breakfast?" I ask.

"Sure." Sam answers, we make breakfast and when it was finished Amanda and Anthony joined us. Daniel was still on his trip. We all ate and then Sam and I got ready for school, I drove us there. We went inside and went our separate ways. I just hung out in study hall until lunch. Then when it was lunch I went to the cafeteria and saw Moon and Yasmine. I went over to the table they were sitting at and sat down with them.

"Hey guys." I say.

"Hey Max, how are things going with you and Hawk?" Moon asks.

"Oh well I actually broke up with him last night." I answer.

"Oh I'm sorry, I really thought you could change him." She says.

"Yeah me too but I guess I was wrong." I answer. Demetri comes in carrying something big. It was covered in a sheet.

"Hey, you ready to rock?" He asks Yasmine. He sets the thing down on the table. "Our earth science presentation."

"I'm ready to go back to a world where we don't have to talk to each other on a regular basis." Yasmine says.

"Hey hey hey my popularity is on the rise while yours is steadily declining, but uh maybe we can meet in the middle. Like a sexual Venn diagram." Demetri answers. Moon and I laugh.

"So what's under the sheet?" Moon asks.

"I'm glad you asked." He says standing up then he takes the sheet off. There was a huge Lego building. "Behold! What scientists believe to be the Valley when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Go ahead, press the hadrosaur egg." Demetri says looking to Yasmine. Yasmine presses the small nest that was part of the building, some dinosaurs noises start happening and then steam came out of the volcano type thing.

"Not bad! My parents may not have to pay for my A this time." Yasmine smiles.

"Oh your parents will never have to pay for an A again." Demetri assures. We all kept admiring it. While Demetri was explaining it, then a soccer ball comes in destroying it. Pieces went flying everywhere. I look up to see where the ball had come from, Hawk of course. I groan, he walks over.

"Oh sorry man. Looks like my ball just got away from me." He says catching his ball from someone who had thrown it back to him. He looks at me and we make eye contact. "Hey." He smirks.

"Don't hey me jerk, this is exactly why I broke up with you." I snap, Hawk's smirk quickly disappearing.

"That took me 3 weeks to build." Demetri says through his gritted teeth.

"Eh, took my ball 3 seconds to destroy." Hawk answers. Then he walks off back to his friends.

"Do you have another one?" Yasmine asks worriedly. Demetri walks over to Hawk, I quickly get up and follow him.

"Another week, another pissing contest." Demetri starts. "Although I shouldn't be surprised since you love pissing so much." Demetri smiles.

"You landed one kick." Hawk says getting closer to Demetri. "You got lucky." He says then looks at me. "And looks like you joined the Miyaji Dos." He snaps. I take a step closer.

"I have been with them from the very beginning." I snap. Hawk rolls his eyes.

"No wonder your dad kicked you out, I can see what he meant by you being in the way." Hawk says. I gasp, tears coming to my eyes. Hawk noticed, the small smile on his face immediately disappeared. "I-" He starts.

"How dare you! You have no idea what I have gone through, you asshole!" I start, a tear slipping from my eye. "I can't believe I ever loved you!" I snap, I could tell he had regretted what he had said but I didn't want to hear his apologizes. He crossed the line. I turn around, he grabs my arm but I pull it back and run out of the cafeteria. I left the school, just running.

I needed a drink, a strong drink. I know I said that I don't drink, but I needed to. I needed to just not remember for a little. I ran to the small shop that was by Cobra Kai, the owner knew I was under age but he knew my story, besides Jas he was one of my first friends. So he gave me 2 free margaritas, they were in bottles that were like Johnny's beers. These wouldn't get me drunk but it would give me some kind of buzz. I start walking around, drinking. I was disappointed in myself, for drinking but I knew I would never do it again.

It had been a few hours, I didn't know where I was going I just kept walking around. Then I found myself at the school. It would be getting out in a few minutes, I went by my car which Sam and I took to school today. I leaned against my car, drinking my second margarita, waiting for Sam. I hear the school bell ring, then kids come rushing out of the doors. I see Hawk, he sees me. He starts walking my way, I just ignore it looking away. Then I felt him next to me.

"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have said that. I wasn't thinking." He says softly.

"You don't think about anything, you just do." I say taking a sip of my margarita.

"I thought you didn't drink." He says.

"I don't, but because you never think before you do anything I am. I'm so glad I broke up with you." I snap, Hawk gasping lightly. I could see the hurt in his face. Of course I wasn't glad I broke up with him. I was in love with him. "I thought I could change you, but I guess I was wrong. You are too far gone, I tried. Really I did, but you don't want to help yourself. You don't see the monster you have become." I say, taking another sip of the margarita. Hawk doesn't say anything, Sam comes over to the car. Her and Hawk glare at each other.

"Have fun in detention." Hawk says to Sam and then walks off.

"Detention? You know what you can tell me in the car, but I think you should drive." I say wobbling over to the passenger side and getting in my car, Sam gets in the drivers seat. I had her the keys and she starts driving back to her house. She tells me all about the soccer game and what happened, basically 'fighting' on the field. Then how the Miyaji-Dos had detention and the Cobra Kai's got off the hook, because of Hawk's lies.
