Lunar and the others knew something was wrong the moment Xavier called them down to the lower levels to meet by the jet. He went up the ramp without a word or telepathic thought towards them in a motion for Lunar, Scott, and Storm to follow him inside where they got ready to take off.
“Where are we going Professor?” Scott asked as Storm flew out above the school.
“I have located Jean, if I can get to her, speak with her, I might be able to help her.” Xavier explained.
“Are you sure?”
“No, but it’s better than letting Eric or Logan filling her mind with lies.”
Lunar scowled. “Don’t tell me we’re going there to fight.”
“I would prefer to avoid it but fighting is a possibility.” Xavier sighed tiredly at that thought. “So much blood has been spilled already.”
“Well more will be shed if Logan comes anywhere near me.” Lunar growled as she sat down beside Scott.
“Easy.” Scott warned. “We don’t need more enemies.”
“He’s the one who made me his enemy.”
“True… that doesn’t mean you should accept that.”
Lunar sighed, it was true, but Logan didn’t make staying calm and reasonable easy. He seemed to insist on fighting her and eventually killing her, the wolf inside of her didn’t exactly appreciate that ether, causing her temper to rise quickly. Now that she thought about it, all of the feral mutants she knew were like that, quick tempered and aggressive. Maybe that just ran in their blood. Other than her thoughts running through her mind, the trip was silent and relatively boring… just like every flight she ever took. Lunar absolutely hated it. When they did land they were met by Magneto and four of his mutants while Lunar noticed Logan standing off to the side, looked like they had gotten there last, hopefully they could settle this peacefully.
“Erik, what are you doing here?” Xavier addressed his old friend as the others followed him.
“The same reason you are here my old friend, to see Jean.”
Lunar noticed the other mutants glare at them but Xavier held up a hand to signal for them to stay back. “I can help her Erik, you will only make things worse.”
“Help her? You tried to control her powers.”
“Don’t say that about the Professor, he only wants to help.” Storm snapped, clouds beginning to form in the sky.
Xavier turned to them before heading towards the door. “Well then, let us settle this matter like we did back then, together Erik.”
All the other mutants started to follow but Erik turned to face them. “No one gets in.”
“Professor.” Cyclops began to protest.
“Do as he says, we don’t want to make things worse. I’ll be fine.”
Lunar glared at Logan as she saw his claws come out. “That might be a bit unavoidable.”
Logan turned to face the two older leaders. “I want to see Jean, now. You know you’re mutants can’t stop me.”
Magneto turned back to glare at him. “May I remind you Wolverine, you have metal running through your skeleton. I can take care of you, now be a good pet and stay outside.”
“You did not just call me a pet!” Logan roared in anger and began to run towards him.
Magneto held up a hand and Wolverine flew back. “Take care of them.”
Lunar turned to see Charles was already inside where he was soon joined by Erik, she didn’t like the fact that he was in there unprotected by them but at the moment it seemed they were going to be preoccupied with three other really bad mutants. She shifted into her wolf form and let out a threatening growl as she sized up her opponents.
“Lunar, take Logan.” Cyclops commanded. “Storm you have the woman and Juggernaut.”
Lunar expected that order and ran towards Logan as he got up, he fell back under her sudden weight but didn’t take long to come back and swipe his claws at her.
“Ready to be put down Wolfie?” Logan taunted as she avoided his claws.
“In your dreams Pet.” Lunar mocked back, using the new nickname Magneto had given him.
Logan gave her a look of pure hatred and went into a fighting stance. All around them were sounds of the others fighting, Lunar let out a howl before leaping into her own fight, she would show him what she could do in a fight. None of them could predict the results of what happened next however.
