It was dark by the time they got to the island where the boy was being kept. Lunar had been allowed to stay, much to Storm and Bobby's displeasure, and had continued to apologize to Scott while making up the attack by obeying even the slightest order. Scott landed the plane and the others: Beast, Shadow cat, Iceman, Colossus, and Storm, got out and spread out in preparation to join the chaos. She flinched as he walked over to where she was standing, and even flattened her ears to her head nervously in fear he was still angry for the stitched up wound on his throat.

He pointed to the side of his head to signal he wanted her to communicate telepathically. Stay at my side.

"Alright... where are we going?" She added the question hesitantly.

To find Wolverine and Phoenix, they should be by Magneto if I can judge his game correctly.

"Let's go." She followed by his side, glancing around alertly for any sign of her enemies.

The humans had run out of the cure almost by now but that didn't mean the ground still wasn't being littered with bodies of mutants who had joined the Brotherhood. Lunar jerked her head to the side as she located a powerful telepathic source and she slightly took the lead as she dodged and fought by Cyclops' side until they reached Wolverine who was fighting beside Phoenix, killing the guards mercilessly.

"Wolverine!" Lunar sent the telepathic name and snarled.

The adamantium clawed mutant looked over at her and gave an animalistic grin. "Look's like Wolfie survived."

Lunar snarled and felt red overtake her vision as her anger soared. She launched herself at him and grabbed his throat before thrashing her head around side to side. Behind her Cyclops was shooting optic blasts at Phoenix, who merely used her powers to throw him back into some fallen rubble from the bridge Magneto had used to get to the island. His claws easily swiped long gashes into her flank and she growled in agony but refused to release his throat, instead chose to apply more pressure until her mouth filled with his blood and he was gasping for air. Unfortunately she couldn't keep up the attack as wound after wound was inflicted on her and she was forced to back off to give herself a few moments to heal.

You can't kill me. Wolverine's thought taunted her as his throat healed back up.

However, he didn't heal fast enough for Lunar to miss one detail in his adamantium skeleton. She clearly saw normal tissue between the adamantium bone, which allowed him to turn his neck and spine. If she could separate his head by cutting through that... she might have a chance. "Oh poor Wolverine, so over confident, of course I can."

How? He began to close in on her for another attack, his thought still mocking.

Lunar gave a rumbling laugh. "I'm going to rip your freaking head off."

Wolverine's eyes widened in remembrance of a similar threat but ignored it and crashed into her, sending both of them to the ground in a mass of fur, teeth, and claws. Blood drops scattered the ground and left a trail as they fought, a few minutes later Lunar let out a howl of pain as Wolverine broke her sternum and grazed her heart before she managed to pull away. She changed her plan for taking off his head and instead limped over to the water, where he followed. Lunar shoved him under the water once they were deep enough and held his struggling form under as best she could in her failing strength.

No! His thoughts screamed as he trashed.

Lunar used her own telepathy to aid in keeping him under and as the battle waged around her with Storm frying mutants, Iceman having it out with Pyro, and Beast putting a stop to Magneto with Cyclops' help. The only main threat that remained was Phoenix, as Wolverine's consciousness faded from existence from oxygen deprivation. She eased her grip on his body and shoved it farther out to watch it sink before hearing a pained shout and turning to see Cyclops on the ground holding his head in agony while Phoenix glared at Lunar with a deathly gaze.
