THE PHONE SHOOK in Auggie's hands.

He painstakingly pulled up Skye's contact, clicking on the facetime button before he tossed his phone on the bed. "Oh shit," he muttered under his breath, he heard the ringing of his phone before finally, it stopped ringing.

"Hello?" Sky's voice rang out. The phone was on the bed, showing her a blank screen. Her screen was pressed with her palm, showing him the same thing. "Okay, we're doing this."

"I'm too scared to pick up my phone," August called out, hearing a soft laugh on the other side.

"Me too," she replied.

"But I think we should."

"Yeah."

Auggie carefully walked over, picking up his phone and pressing his palm to the camera, preventing her or him to see them. They were both faced with black screens. So Auggie shifted and murmured, "You first."

"Nuh-uh," Skye said. "You go first."

"No."

"Yes."

"I'll dropkick you."

"Through the screen?" August asked, a small smile on his lips. "Oh my, Skye, I'm trembling."

The smile on Skye's face couldn't go away. No matter how hard she tried to wipe it off, it stayed plastered. Her thumbs twiddled with the ends of her sweater, her nerves bundling together in a pile that she pushed to the side. "Okay," she finally mustered up the courage to say. "Go first."

"Whatever you say," and with that, his hand slipped off the camera. At first, he only showed his forehead, and the curly head of hair he had. "What do you think so far?" He asks, biting his lower lip in anticipation.

"Your hair looks so soft."

"Thank you, I take pride in making sure my locks are greatly acclimated to the harsh weather-"

"Shut up." She briefly cut him off, he smiled and with one abrupt motion, he pulled the phone down and showed her his face. His eyes were like molten lava, as if they could start fires with a simple glare. His skin was the deepest shade of brown she ever saw, and a light blush rose to his cheeks, as if he could feel her eyes scrutinizing him.

"Thoughts?" He asked, a glum smirk on his face.

"I-you have nice eyes."

"Is that code word for, "I think you have the most attractive face I have ever laid eyes on," or am I missing something?"

"So cocky," she rolled her eyes, knowing he wouldn't be able to see her.

"That I am," he smiled and nodded his head. "Your turn."

Ever so carefully, she let her hand fall from the camera and only showed the top of her forehead. Her complexion matching the night sky, as if someone poured glitter all over her.

"Oh my, what a sexy forehead you have, Skye," Auggie laughed, the laugh was sweet, non-mocking. Showing full appreciation. She almost let up and smirked, he could tell by the slight way her forehead creased.

Another inch was shown, showing him her brows.

"Perfectly arched brows," Auggie commented. "You're blowing me away, Skye."

Then she showed her eyes.

As if in a trance, his jaw dropped open, completely mesmerized by her eyes. Her right one was pure brown, like dark chocolate mixed with honey, they swirled and glistened. And her left eye was green. A shade so deep it almost looked hazel.

"I think I just fell in love," Auggie whispered.

"Idiot," she brushed off the comment although her cheeks turned red.

"They're different colors, I didn't know you had heterochromia."

She winced and flickered her eyes to the camera. "Are they weird?" And how does he know such big words? She thought quietly to herself.

"No, beautiful is a better word."

She finally pulled the camera down and showed her full face, he almost doubled over from the view in front of him. Her cheeks were full and angular, perfectly fitting her face. Her lips were plump and vivacious pink, nervousness, from biting them too much.

"So . . . you remember when I said I thought I fell in love?" Auggie asked, his voice coming out just about a whisper. Skye nodded and raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, well, I think I kinda just did."
