My apartment was small. It has a kitchen and dining room combined, a small living room with a couch and TV, and a bedroom with a queen bed. Some family pictures from before my father died were spread around my house.

Today was Saturday and I was off of work. I hated and loved being off of work. I love it because "duh" no work, but I hated it because I have nothing to do. I am not really a social person with only 2-3 close friends.

As I was sitting on my couch in my zebra onesie munching on popcorn while watching Beauty and the Beast for the 4th time in a row. I heard a knock on the door.

What? Who would want to visit me? I got up and opened the door.

In front of me stood a pretty girl. She has black curly hair and eyes the color of coffee with creme. She has very dark skin and a willowy frame. It was Danielle!

Danielle is my best friend! We have been friends since kindergarten when some kid made fun of my princess drawing and Danielle told him he wasn't invited to her birthday party. Danielle was always more confident and social then me, but I guess opposites attract, right?

Sadly we were split up when we went to college. She went to Rutgers and I went to Columbia University right here in New York City.

"Hey girl!" said Danielle her smile stretching from ear to ear! Danielle currently lived in New Jersey and I hardly ever saw her.

"Omigod!" I said embracing her in a super tight hug, lifting her off of her feet, "What are you doing here?"

"I took a vacation off of work for a week to stop by here and say hi then head back to Rutgers to stop by a Joshie's," Joshie was Danielle's boyfriend that she met at college, but he was a year younger so he hadn't graduated yet.

"That's amazing! You can come in and join on my movie marathon. It'll be fun," I said.

Danielle just stepped inside and put her hands on her hips. She huffed out, "I didn't come all the way up to New York to watch a movie marathon with you in the city with some of the best clubs in the world! We're going clubbing!"

Oh great.
