Harry's POV
I froze. Why didn't anybody tell me? I was usually aware of the fact my face was on the cover of a magazine before I saw them being sold out on the streets. But I guess that's life, people don't like to deliver the bad news.
The cold wind whipped around the whole city, bouncing off of the skyscrapers like a game of invisible pinball. Blowing in my face so hard tears started to well up in my eyes.
But as much as I'd like to say so, these tears weren't from the wind. A small Mexican man stood infront of a cart selling all kinds of magazines and trinkets, but I wasn't paying attention to any of that.
There right infront of me was Seventeen magazine. And a picture of me. With a red x. And the headline: Is Harry Styles as Nice as We Think He Is? Yes! I wanted to scream out I am! But even if I did, it wouldn't matter. Because unlike pencil, ink cannot be erased. It stains the white paper with a mark that does not go away until it has perished as one.
I ripped it off of the stack and started opening pages until I got to 37.
33 flip 34 flip 35 flip 36... was I ready for what was on the other side of this page? No. I would never be.
Flip.
My eyes scanned over the words of this magazine. Bad pictures of me were scattered strategically throughout the page like jacks. And each sentence of words stabbed a hole in my heart so at the end of the writing it must have looked like a nail board.
But that wasn't the worst.
It was hard to believe that something in size 10 font had enough power to send me to my knees, knock the breath out of me, and rip out my soul. At the bottom of the page read:

Chris Vendelz. My girlfriend. The one I love. The one who has just broken my heart. How could she do this to me?
Chris Vendelz. Such a beautiful name.
But beauty hurts.
