It was the first time I had wore sweat pants to work since that one time I had horrible period cramps and could barely move let alone squeeze into a dress. But I wold take those period cramps × 100 to have Harry back again.

Without him colors seemed duller, food tasted more bland, and music had no effect on me. I had tried to call him to explain but he kept ignoring me, eventually I just ended up crying myself to sleep that night.

Ding!

The elevator door opened and who was there? The one and only Kenny Jhonston. Great, just the person I wanted to see right now. Note the sarcasm.

"Umm I'll just take the stairs," I said trying to turn around, but before I could get away Kenny grabbed my wrist and pulled me through the opening. The doors slammed shut behind me.

"Nonsense, I enjoy your company," We stood silent as Frank Sinatra sang quietly in the background.

"So how was your night Mrs. Vendelz?" Said Kenny pleasantly. Why was he being so nice all of the sudden.

"Not too well, thanks to you," I said through clenched teeth.

"What do you mean?" Kenny said in mock surprise.

"You sent out my hate letter of Harry Styles to try to break us up!"

"What? I was only sending your completed article about Harry. I was only trying to help since your deadline was in 4 days! I care about you."

He seemed pretty sincere when he said that last part. Was he really trying to help me? Or was it just an act to seem innocent about what he did?

Before I had the chance to respond the elevator door slid open and Kenny swiftly walked out and towards his office. Leaving my to ponder if Kenny's words were truthful or not.

At work I barely did anything. Without my article for Harry I had practically nothing to work on. I edited other people's articles checking for grammar mistakes and bought about 12 drinks from the latte girl just to give me something to do.

So I was relieved when the clock hit 5:30 and I was able to get out of that place.

"In my head were halfway there, ooohhhh livin' on a prayer," I quietly hummed as I was packing up my stuff to leave.

Suddenly I felt a warm hand squeezing my elbow, "Let me walk you out," I turned around to see Kenny with a pleasant smile on his face.

"I-I think I'm okay."

"No, let me, I'd love to," he started to pull me down the stairs until we were outside and on the sidewalk.

"Why did you send it?" I said out of the blue

"Your article, you mean?"

"Yeah."

"I already told you why,"

"No, I want the truth,"

He let out a long sigh, "I like you, Chris, heck, I love you. I wanted you two to break up so I could get with you,"

I started to feel bad for him but then my senses came to me this is the man that sabotaged me and Harry's relationship just because he wanted me. He is a cruel, cunning, and selfish man. I turned back to him with an evil glare. "Maybe I would like you if you weren't so self centered. Let go of me," I said struggling from his grasp. He only squeezed tighter so that I was sure I'd have bruises there in the morning.

He shoved me up against one of the buildings and leaned in so that his face was inches from mine. I tried to get away put he was much stronger then me. "Let go!"

"Never," he whispered before touching his lips to mine.
