The day after...
Madelaine woke up to Vanessa jumping on her. She groaned as she slowly opened her eyes, being blinded by the light.
"Madelaineeeeeee. Wake upppppppp." Vanessa said jumping. Madelaine looked up at her and Vanessa gave her a big smile.
"It's the big dayyy." Vanessa said as a song. Madelaine smiled and nodded as she sat up.
"It sure is. Wait. What time is it?" Madelaine asked realizing that had a test screening and she was just in bed.
"Five o'clock in the morning?" Vanessa asked more of a question than an answer. She looked at the time and back at Madelaine nodding.
"Yup. 5:45." Vanessa said as Madelaine nodded. For some odd reason, she thought about the night prior. She didn't know if she should talk about it or if she shouldn't.
It's probably a one time thing. I hope it's not, but if it is, then... Madelaine was thinking as she was snapped out of her thoughts by Vanessa.
"Are you okay?" Vanessa asked as Madelaine nodded in response.
"Are you sure? We can talk about it if you want. You don't want that on your mind today. Especially today out of all days." Vanessa said in an assuring voice as Madelaine smiled.
"I'm fine. I'll deal with that later. But can you help me with the lines?" Madelaine started to say with a smirk on her face. The smirked turned into a smile.
"I guess I can." Vanessa said shrugging as Madelaine smiled and hugged her. Vanessa giggled a bit and Madelaine went to get ready. She came out and Vanessa was completely stunned.
"Oh. My. Gosh. Damn. You're hot." Vanessa said as she was checking Madelaine out.
"I mean, last night let that be known. And I already know." Madelaine said as she tooted her lips and flipped her hair. Vanessa playfully rolled her eyes and sat down on the bed, with Madelaine reciprocating her actions. They say side by side and Madelaine looked at Vanessa. Vanessa looked at Madelaine and squinted her eyes.
Madelaine took her hand- cupping it on the side of her face and pulled her in for a kiss. Vanessa instantly fell into it, as she grabbed the waist of her redhead bestfriend. They kept going until Madelaine broke the kiss with a giggle. Vanessa blushed and looked down as Madelaine giggled.
"Can we get to rehearsing this scene?" Madelaine asked as Vanessa nodded. Madelaine sent a copy of the script- since it's digital- to Vanessa as they started to go over lines.
"Why? Archie knew to cut bait. Now I'm dragging you down. I'm dragging my dad down." Vanessa said reading off the character's Jughead line.
"Jug, it's going to be okay. And we're going to figure it out. We'll figure out what we have to do, together." Madelaine said as she was reading off Betty's line.
"No. Betty... Mmm-mmm. Not together. Betty, if you stay, I don't know if I can protect you anymore. You might get... you probably will get hurt. I can't let that happen to you." Vanessa said
"It's not your decision to make." Madelaine read
"Actually... yeah, it is."
"How many times, Jug? How many times are we going to push each other away?"
