22 || Sick Days

~Steve~

Steve is an absolute sweetheart when you get sick. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, he tends to you as delicately as a flower. He takes care of you - feeds you chicken noodle, watches all your favourite shows with you, and makes sure you're cuddled up very nicely in your bed. He hardly even lets you leave the room actually, insisting that you stay and rest up - get your energy back and all that .  And the best part of all, is that since he can't get sick himself, he'll cuddle up with you all day and as for as long as you want because he knows how much better it makes you feel.

~Tony~

He knows you can handle yourself. Truth be told, whenever you're sick, he kind of makes himself scarce. He gets sick just about as often as you, and is very much not about catching your virus himself. He can notice right away when you're starting to come down with a cold - call it a sixth sense for that stuff - and as soon as you start to sniffle just a little bit, he bolts. You'll be rushed into your room while he chucks cold medicine, soup, and a thermometer at you, and he'll insist that you stay at least a room away from him at all times (dramatic, I know.) But if you've got a particularly bad cold and he knows you feel terrible, he'll drop you off a sweater, maybe a new book for you to read in your room, and make sure that at least your thoroughly entertained. 

~Natasha~

Natasha becomes Ms. Pushy when you get sick. Trust the Russian redhead to get you back into tiptop shape in just a matter of days after you catch a cold. The second you tell her you're sick, she's on Sick Patrol. She's super observant of you the whole time, insisting you stay in bed, making you drink a lot of water and stay hydrated, stay warm, take your medicine on time, take and track your temperature, give you tea, feed you warm foods, and even tug her fuzziest socks onto your feet. She says that she does all that because she hates catching your colds, but truthfully it's because she really likes to take care of you - something you don't let her do often enough in her opinion.

~Clint~

Clint actually gets sick more often that you. What with him jetting across the globe sometimes for his job. And taking care of him, my god, is a nightmare. He so incessantly insists that he's fine, it's irritating. He once hallucinated an entire conversation with you while running a 104° fever, then insisted he was "totally fine" right after. You've had to physically force him to lay down and rest, and have on more than one occasion, had to call in sick on his behalf because he refused to even consider it an option. Dealing with a sick Clint Barton is exhausting, but once he's finally admitted he needs the day off, he's a much easier patient to handle.

~Thor~

With Thor around, you're never sick for more than a day or two, tops. Being a near immortal being and demi-god certainly has its perks. The first time you got sick, he came down with a cure for you in a matter of hours, straight from Asgards equivalent of an apothecary. Asgardians hardly get sick, but they have a lot of ways to treat a lot of ailments, and how convenient for you to have access to it all. He does take care of you when you're not feeling well though, for those couple of hours before the medicine kicks in. He'll follow you around, hovering just over your shoulder, making sure you're warm enough and aren't exerting yourself too much. And even when you don't ask him to, he'll scoop you up into his arms and carry you around the house to wherever you need, insisting that as the royal heirs lover, its the least he can do.

~Bruce~

Getting the cold is a rather in-often occurrence in your household. You both take the proper precautionary measures during flu and cold season, and take good care of yourselves outside of that. But when you do get sick, you often don't need each others help. Don't get me wrong, Bruce is all for helping take care of you, but he knows you know whats best for your body. Most of the times, he lets you do your own thing, stepping in occasionally to encourage you to eat a bit more when you're not feeling so hot, or to remind you to take your medicine and take a couple of extra breaks from your work. You're both very in tune with the others emotional and physical states, so he always seems to know just the thing you need at the moment, whether its an heating pad for your sore back, or an extra scoop of ice cream to help your throat. Nights with the cold usually end with him handing you a cup of tea as he slides into bed next to you, the smile on his face just as warm as the mug in your hands.
